Roger Williams University Top Questions

The most frustrating thing about this school is that they school tends to care more about its appearance and recruiting students than keeping the already existing students. For example, the school mows the lawn at least three times a week it seems because it wants newcomers to experience the beauty of the campus but I don't believe better financial aid packages are given, or better scholarships handed out to those students who excel academically.

One of the most frustrating things about the school is the fact that the attorneys who teach the classes take a very long time to respond to any questions or concerns, sometimes grades take over a month to get done and this makes it hard to know where you stand as far as passing is concerned.

First semmester freshman year, students have little to no influence on their schedule so I was placed into two 3 hour classes from six to nine pm.

I would say that the most frustrating thing on school is that the wireless around campus and in the dorms can be kind of slow. But the student body voiced this to the Technology Dept, and now changes are being made to the wireless systems to make them faster and able to support the larger student body that Roger Williams has. The school continues to grow and update itself as its students do, and they listen. Its reassuring to know that they are willing to fix a probem that the students have brought up.

The most frustrating thing about my school was the Freshman dormitories. I lived on the basement floor of the dorm and it was full of mold. The school informed us that there was a mold problem, however, they did nothing to fix it. I developed mold allergies from living there and had to come home every weekend just to get away for a couple of days to recover from the allergies.

The most frustrating thing about this school is that since I am a commuter, I do not have a meal plan and find it difficutl to get a meal that is inexpensive. Throughout the semester I have learned a few tricks to getting around this situation.

The most frustrating thing about Roger Willaims University is that there is no place for privacy and solitude. Roger Williams is a university with a constantly active campus life and lots of friendly people, however there have been many times that I wish I could escape from the endless noise to concentrate on my creative writing, homework, or to have a private chat with a friend or family member. Not even the library is quiet, and it is always crowded with talktive people.

RWU has a major drinking/party culture which, for me, makes things difficult as I don't participate in those things. Those that are interested in that will definitely enjoy RWU.

The most frustrating thing about my school is that some people refuse to see the changes that have occureed. This school is pretty young but it has improved so much over the years and it is truly an amazing school.
