I wish I would have known that highschool is serious. The workload can be hard, and you need to do good in highschool in order to face your future. I wish I had taken highschool more seriously, and challened myself more.

Well I had already done my share of research on the school and saw their dance team and immediate fell in love with the school and knew it was perfect for me. But of course the one thing i wish i knew more was the difficulty transitioning from a small time town to a college lifestyle.

I wish I had known more about the world around me. I came to Sacred Heart as an Athletic Training major. After a year at Sacred Heart I saw and learned about how much poverty and homelessness there was in America, especially in Bridgeport. I learned that I could do something to change that by getting invovled. I loved helping and bettering the lives of other people and swtiched my to Sociology so that I could make a carrer out of it. I wish I had known earlier so I could have started my new major my freshamn year.

When I started school freshman year I experienced an unexpected death in the family. So the first few weeks I spent commuting between school and home to attend different services. Going home was a comfort and I began to do it more often. Going home made it harder to transition into college life. I missed out on making connections with people and experiences that I can't get back. From staying at school I have made lifelong friends and have had some great experience that have made me a better person:) College life is an experience!
