Sacred Heart University Top Questions

Sacred Heart University is a private school and tuition is high. The worst part of attending the school is not being able to afford it. Going into debt and coming out with many loans.

This school is very small and there is not much to do here on the weekend. Also, the people who go here are all rich. There's not many middle-class students here. They are also very judgemental. The food gets boring after a week of living here. The dorms are extremely small and the living arangments for sophomore year are not good if you ask me. You need to live suite style sophomore year with 9-12 girls.

The party scene is by far the worst, people live in very bad neighborhoods and throw parties in which I always felt very unsafe in. Also, a lot of the athletes, who were on scholarships, did very bad things that they never got caught doing. When people who weren't on scholarships, were making good decisions, and yet pay for majority of their schooling. Athletes just got too much attention and money from this school, and the academic students didn't get as much attention.

The worst thing about SHU would be that there aren't as many campus fesitivities. I would like it if they added more things similar to Fall & Spring fest and homecoming.

The worst thing about my school is the expenses. I have to take out a lot of loan money, and am not satisfied with the amount I'm given in scholarship, because I have maintained a 3.5 gpa and higher each year. We are also expected to pay many other fees that I feel should be included in the school funding. For example, I am an art student, and I find myself constantly going out and buying supplies which are very costly, when I pay enough to go to the school, plus lab fees.

I think that the worst thing about the school is the new cafeteria setup... not being able to eat when we want to is pretty harsh. Also, it I hate that the art department is on a seperate campus but SHU does a great job at getting us there and back.

The worst and best part about my school is that it is a small campus. Sometimes there is nothing to do because a lot of people go home on the weekends.

The worst thing about my school in my opinion is its awkward location on the border of Bridgeport and Fairfield. While this is a convenient location for students traveling from Long Island , the area surrounding our university is certainly not a college town. The village of Fairfield is approximately 15 minutes away from Sacred Heart, and is primarily the domain of Fairfield University. It would be much more enjoyable to be located in a college town, and not so close to Bridgeport.

I THOUGHT A SMALL SCHOOL WOULD BE BEST FOR ME, BUT IT TURNS OUT SHU IS JUST TOO SMALL. YOU SEE THE SAME FACES IN THE HALLS DAILY. IT'S KIND OF LIKE HIGH SCHOOL ALL OVER AGAIN IN THAT THERE IS LITTLE VARIETY IN WHOM YOU MEET. FURTHER, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DIVERSITY HERE. THE ONLY DIVERSITY IS AMONGST ATHLETES, AND THAT IS A TERRIBLE REALITY.

The campus is small and some times I wish it were more spread out, but you get to know so many people that way so you always see someone you know, which makes you feel at home.

People are just not friendly! Everyone is the same. No diversity.

They are very unorganized and tend to jerk there students around.
