Giving the chance to go back and revisualize my life, and understanding life as i know now. I would understand joining clubs such as DECA and FBLA to gain more information and build great looks on my resimade to be where i want to be. Knowing that i was good in athletics i would've continuing participating on the basketball and football team to earn a full ride scholarship to get the lifestyle i imagine. So now i try my hardest everyday cause i know how hard life can be, so i set out now to challenge myself and do all my work.

If I could go back knowing what I know now about college life and making the transition I would say stay focused no matter what happens. I would say if you make friends and meet people cherish them and make lasting memories but still focus on your goals. I would tell myself when your friends go through something be strong for them and help them but don't forget to stay focused on your obligations. I would explain that partying and having fun is a part of college not what college is all about. I would tell myself that getting involved in activities will help you get to know yourself. I would say stay focused on God he will keep you strong in your times of weakness and sadness. I would say don't be afraid to take on big tasks from important people just trust yourself and be confident. I would say if financial hardships come don't give up keep looking for opportunities. I would say when you meet people that can help don't be afaid to tell them your situation. I would say continue to help those that ask you. I would say always be unforgettable.

Dear senior Clarissa, try your best in all you do! Sign up for more scholarships, hit the books hard because after high school is the real world. You're practically on your own and books nor anything else comes cheap. You are a strong, smart you lady so stay positive and always strive for the best. Believe in yourself!

If I could go back and talk to my high school senior self, I would tell myself to not take anything for granted. I would tell myself, that I should work hard in all of my classes and try not to slack off. By doing this, I would be in a better position at the age of 24, then I am right now. I would also tell myself to believe in myself and not to give up on yourself just because circumstances are not going your way.

The best thing You can do in YourSelf Sr. Yr of Highschool is to Concentrate real hard on Your Studies & to get the best grades possible. Apply for as many Scholarshis as possible. Build on Your credit standing and keep up on all Your bills, Pay early and pay extra. You should worry more about Yourself & Your future than Your friends & Spending the time with them. My advise to Myself would have most importantly been to work @ a job where tipping was the most beneficial part of My salary as The money I would have made in a Min. wage position would not benefit Me when I went to school.

A few transition would have to change the culture of Saint Augustine's University. Especially the financial aid transition, when I pictured the reaction for students who are constantly struggle with the tuition for each semester. The majority of students are angry, crying, denial or even disappoint including myself too. A smart advice is to talk the president of the school about students can afford more scholarships and /or grants to sustain their college expenses. One solution is to donate every student who excel their grade point average in their classrooms, athletic improvement and leadership experience. More students would be able to stay in school with alot of scholarships, grants and/or loans. That would fit the bill in the schoo and the community plus the majority of the parents won't be disappointed and rage about taking out loans for their kid.

Save every dime you can. Even if you only have ten dollars, give it to mom to stash away and tell her it is ONLY for future school expenses. Trust me, you'll thank me later.

If I had the opportunity to go back in time and talk to myself as a high school senior my advice to myself would be: refrain from procrastinating because you can get so caught up with the college experience and the freedom that you'll end up putting your work off until the day it's actually due. Knowing what I know about college life it is totally different. In college there is no one telling you to get up it's time to go to school. There is no one checking your homework before it's turned in to make sure that it is correct. Attending college and being away from home opens up a totally new experience. If I was a high school senior going off to college my first year I would have recognized the reality of the changes which were going to happen in my life and not be so in denial about the experience.

Knowing what I know about college now, I would say to myself as a senior, be sure to apply yourself when it comes to scholarships, and don’t focus on being around your friends having fun 24/7. When it is all said and done, and it’s time to graduate, and everyone is getting their awards and scholarships, you will feel left out and all that partying and fun would have gone to waste. As a high school senior I had the grades I just never applied for scholarships, which means the transition to college was difficult when it came to paying for my tuition. If I would have applied myself, saved money that I was given around holidays from family, my transition to college would have been smoother. I’m not saying that you cannot have fun your senior year, however, there has to be a balance between priorities and fun. As a high school senior, I never knew where to draw the line between priorities and wants. Now in college I’m receiving scholarships and awards, I’m aware that I could have received them as a high school senior too being that I had the grades.

Dear Alexis in her senior year in high school, finish all of your work and never think that a certain class is not needed to be taken. Every class may seem like you will not need it in the future but this is not a good mindset to have in school. Every class that you take is needed weather you think so or not. Also, it is very importatnt to apply for as many scholarships you can in order to be able to go to school worry free. There is so many people around you that is willing to help all you need to do is be willing to accept all the construstive critacisim and learn form everything you do. If you work on everything ahead of time you will be perfect and worry free when it is time to move into college. Last final words of encouragement is that it is not what you know, but who you know that will get you where you need to be or on your way to college. Don't be afraid to meet new people, there is alot of people around that can open many doors that you never knew excisted.

Advice I would give myself if I could go back in time as a high school senior would be one, not to procrastinate, stay focused on the task at hand, believe in myself and stay motivated. Procrastination can cause unnecessary stress and frustration upon yourself, it can also become a habit when you get to college. I procrastinated a lot throughout the year, especially with essays and studying. So the lesson is to get everything done on time. If I would have known that staying focus on the task at hand in high school could make my life better, I would have been stress free and organized. I tried to do many task at once, and in college you have to take each assignment at a time. Believing in yourself and staying motivated is the key to your own success. At the time of my senior year I became very frustrated with all the procedures of applying to college. I stopped believing and motivating myself to keep going because of all the challenges that I was facing at the time. Now that I have experienced college, you are your own motivator. If you do not believe in yourself who will?

College is the door to a new life, A life that you will have to face on your own. A life where you search, find, and determine who you are and who you want to be. Attending a college or university away from home is not always easy the first few years. For some it can be very nerve racking and stressful, some even suffer from depression and loneliness. Some are not always prepare to leave home for the first time. That does not mean you lose hope in that student, and that does not mean that student should lose hope and all faith in thereselves. In society we are taught to follow our deams and never give up. There always comes a time when you will fail, but there also comes a time where you find yourself and realize reality that there's a dream and a goal out there with you name on it, so even when it get hard and failure comes your way never give up because education matters. Diplomas dont have as much value as a degree do. Take charge of your future, chase your career and achieve and accomplish it and always believe.

If i could go back in time to talk to myself as a high school senior knowing what i know about college life and making the transition, i would tell myself to always be myslef. Don't forget what my parents have taught me about not letting anyone take advantage of me. Remember the morals your family has installed in you.Never let someone pressure you into doing something you don't want to do or you know thats wrong. You should study every night, don't be ashame to ask questions or get help with something you don't understand. And always remember what you came to college for, yes its good to have a good time and hang out with friends but at the end of the day you came to better yourself and get an education. Knowing what I do now about college, I would tell myself these 3 most important things. First, be yourself. Don't try to change who you are to fit in. The friends you have in high school probably won't be your friends in college and people you go to college with probably won't be there when you graduate. If you focus on yourself and and don't worry about what others think, your true friends will find you. Secondly I would tell myself to be more focused on school work. The parties and guys will come later. Your in school to learn and that should be your first priority. Last Iwould just simpy say enjoy yourself. College is what you make and you don't want to look back on your college career and realize that you didnt get the full experience.

First, I would have told myself to work hard now and play later because it pays off in the long run. Also, to actually do my best at everything I do not just enough to get by. One thing that stood out more would've been to pay attention and actually learn the material and not just remember it because now that i'm in college i have to learn things that I should have already known prior to entering college.

First, I would advice to my self that money plays a big role in your life after you gradutate from high school; for example, you need money to pay for college, car, loans, ect, and by the time i would of say that i could of saved a little money of my income and manage my money in a more responsible way. Money its important, for your present and future, and even more when you are about to start college and start putting all your money on what really it's going to affect you in your future. Second, I would of say that time and place plays a big role in high school too. When it comes to time, i would recomend that you make sure you have the time to do all your school work, because that is what really pays off. Finally as we all know there is the right place to do things, while you are in school, pay attention to your teacher and follow the rules, because later on you will regret it.

If i could go back in time and talk to myself as a high school senior, I would give myself plenty of advice. Some advice i would tell myself, would include staying focus in school, hanging out with the right group of friends, and to enjoy myself and have fun, but make smart choices. The reason why i would tell myself to stay focus in school, is because in college there is a lot going on around you and it is very easy to get distracted and lose total focus on getting your education. The reason why i would tell myself to hang out with the right group of friends, is because some kids are just there to socialize and if you hang out with them long enough you will begin to act like them.The last piece of advice i would give myself is to enjoy college and have fun, but make smart choices because you dont want to do anything thats going to effect your future in a negative way and leave you with regrets about the decisions you chose to make. If I could go back in time, I probably wouldn't done alot of things that i did. I would of paid more attention in class and take my classwork and homework much more serious than i did. i use to think the work that I did in class wasnt; going to help me in the future and that I wasn't ever going to see this again in my life or in the career that I wanted to pursue. I would of waited to have an relationship with an boy because basically I spent most of my time with him and not staying focused on my school work. Because boys can wait once you get yourself together and strat focusing on you and your work, the boys will always be there. I also use to not asking for help when I knew i needed help in an certain area such as math, because that was an very difficult subject for me in high school, but mainly because I didn't pay attention in class. Now everythigng seems to be alot more easier because I have matured and take school and situations more serious than I did in high school.

If I were to go back in time knowing what I know now about college life and makingthe transition I would tell myself that college is a wonderful experience and to go. I would tell myself I will have the opportunity to mature as an individual, be away from home, and to be responsible and develop into a very productive and educationed young man. I would inform myself that I will meet other individuals from all over the world and learn about their cultures, countries and how they live. I will get the chance to travel as a golf player on the team and play on numerous wonderful golf courses. Last but not least I would tell myself that this will be one of the most rewarding experience of my life.

Adivice to my self now would be college is a great experience you learn more than you ever did in high school. But the best thing is that the school work is really not that hard at all and you get to meet people from all differnt places in the united States. College classes are not that long at all thats the best thing in high school you sit in classes for 8 hours. Not in college you might not even have a class on a day or you might just have two. Greek Life is something else that is interesting you get to be part of an organization brother hood or sister hood. Join a fratenity or Sorority and for some reason people respect you more. But overall college is the best experence ever and i encougage anyone whos graduating high school to give it a try. Honesty it is the last time you really get a chance to be a kid and enjoy Life because when your done thats when reality hits you but college overall is the place to be!

Some advice I would give myself as a high school senior is to make sure I am going to college for all the right reasons. It is not all about partying and going out with your friends. Your work comes first before anything else. I would also tell myself to not follow the crowd, and make my own name for myself. Usually, many people come to college and believe they have to make a lot of friends, but you achieve more goals when you are less distracted by others. College can either make you or break you, it is your choice to pick wether or not you are up for the challenge.

I would tell myself that having a high GPA is the most important thing because it is easier for you to get scholarships and attend a really good college

I would tell my self to develop good study skill and stay focus at all times. I would also tell my self to always be on time. Do not go into college thinking that everything is going to be a piece of cake. I would tell my self to learn how to listen to whats important and leave all the non essential things alone. College is going to start my career and make my future.

I would Focus myself so that i woul have finished school at a faster pace then the rate that i went at, also i would have told myself not to hangout with majority of the young males i hung around.

Throughout my years of college I have experienced the heart-throbbing transition state, the awkward making new friends, and most importantly the fear of embarking on a new chapter of my life. Although I was afraid and eager at the same time if I knew what I knew in 2010 my college experience would have been totally different. Knowing what I know now I, if I could travel back in time I would tell myself to be more open because everyone here is experiencing the same emotions as you. I would tell myself that there is nothing to be afraid of because once you establish your core group of friends and being to go to class everything will become a lot easier. I would also tell myself to get involved in more activities because there are never too many opportunities to become involved on campus. I would also tell myself to stay focused and make sure you are taking classes that are needed for your major. I would lastly tell myself to show school spirit, go to all the school football, basketball, and bowling games. Don’t limit your enjoyment because every moment counts because these are your glory days.

If i could go back to high school i would change alot starting with getting better grades than what i got in high school. I did not get the best of grades in high school and i know i could have did better than what i did. Now when i am college i see that there was no excuse for some of the grades i had in high school. I would have also prepared myself better from being away from home and my family. When i fisrt got to college i was really home sick and I missed my mom.

My first year entering college was a mess. I chose to go out of town and not regerstired until the last day and that's because my sister did it for me while i staied in bed. When she gave me my calsses and relized what classes she gave me i was not thrilled on what i had to take, History, English 1301, Biology, Algebra 1. I did not have time for friends or parties because all my spare time was at worke or doing extracredit on campus. The more time I spent getting extra credit on campus I meet so many people who worked on campus, from Financial-Aid to the president of the college Dr. Reed. When Spring Semester came along my sister was already asking me what classes i wanted to take so she could register me, but i had already regestired during early registration with the help of all the poeple I meet. I entered the Fall Semster lost and by the time Spring came along I glowed like a glow worm. I was more confedent about the registration prosess that i got a job as a student liason and helped others get into our college.

The things I've gotten out of my college experience is that you will always need help. At the begining of college I believe could do it on myt own just like in highschool, but now being here for two year has thought me, that I will need help. I am the type of person who like to be alone, but if I didn't get help in certain area I would have been in trouble. Thats why I thank the professor that teach at this institution.

I started college in sprig of 05 and at the time i was not finacially stable and did not have a support system. I left school after only two semesters because my daughter was born. i worked full time for three years of my life and did not advance in life. i realize that college was the only way for me to gain a career that had no dead ends.

When I began taking classes at Rock Valley College, I was a high school student enrolled in RVC's dual credit program. This was a great opportunity for me, and I believe all high schoolers should be informed of this option. The classes weren't too difficult to keep up with because the professors are so helpful and skilled at what they do. This experience has served as a smooth transition from high school to college. I begin my third semester at RVC in the fall as a college freshman, and since I already am comfortable with how the college runs, I'm not nervous at all.

College, college is so much more than an education. It is the entrance to the real world and the begigng of finding myself. Before I came to college I had never realized any of that. During this proccess i have become self sufficiante and more observant to the things around me. I would have to say that i have had a highly valuable experience and even though the rain pours down at times i wouldnt trade it for the world. I love my school through its ups and downs. The Instuctors in my Education Dept are faithful and strong. They have made me so strong as a person and i belive the knowledge will be taken through out my life.

So far I have gotten a sense of responsibilty and honor, I state these two facts because this is the first time in my life I am on my own and no one is with me with there hands out and willing pick me up if I fall. I just feel so ready for life now that I'm on my own. I feel honor because the school chose me to continue to farther my education. Yes it was my choice to continue my education but without the acceptance who knows where I would be. That's why I take nothing for granted when it comes to my education and life. One of my favorite quote's is ?When it comes to life the critical thing is whether you take things for granted or take them with gratitude.?(G. K. Chesterton), and that is something I learned to live by once I got accepted into Saint Agusutine's College.

During my first year in college, i realized that hardwork really does pay off. The grades and compliments that i have received have given me such great confidence in myself and has encouraged me to strive harder to be the best and to earn my college degree.

If i could go back in time and talk to myself as a high school senior i would tell myself study and focus more in school. A G.P.A is very important in high school and in college. If i personally would had stay in school till graduation i would had a higher G.P.A and greater chance at getting some good scholarships to help pay for school so i wouldnt have taken out a loan to help pay for it. There nothing wrong with loans but you do have to pay it back later on. That would be the best advice i could give myself.

My first instinct told me to stay in Chicago because there were many opportunities there I could have taken advantage of and the public transportation is better for me. There were schools there I could have applied for that complimented my area of concentration, which is 3D computer modeling. I allowed a full-ride scholarship and the opinions of others to cloud my judgement. Now I'm in a college that is good, but not a place where I am comfortable and will receive the best quality of education. The advice I would give myself is follow that first instinct, follow your heart, and don't let others pressure you. This is your education, your future, your life! I would also tell myself to visit EVERY single college you applied for, read blogs about the school, interview students who attend there, and sit in on some classes.

Ashlee, This is your last year in high school, after this you enter a whole new academic and physical atmosphere. Study. Read. Stay focused. You can do it, don't slack off. Increase your spiritual faith and background, peer pressure and temptaion can become a challenged. Away from home? Can you handle it? I know I can, I love to travel during basketball season so much. Spend time with your family while you can, you are going to miss them when you are away from home for long periods of time. Its unimaginable how much you will miss your mother's cooking in college, you should look into investing in a Sam's card. Reconsider going to same college your close friends are going to, they're smart and in-state like you. Trying to pay out of state tuition is a handful, along with trying to keep a job. But you can do it.!

I would male sure to keep my grades in order in order to receive a full scholarship so that my mother doesn't have to work 2 jobs to pay for what amount is not covered.

i would have told myself to focus more on your grades, get more invloved in activities and dont pick saint augustine's college. I was a pretty good basketball player so i would tell myself to work harder on making it on a college team,. this way i wouldnt have to worry about finacial aid. i would like to add that i m not happy about my school situation but im glad that im in college and im on route to be the first college graduate in my family

I would take more time to make sure that my guidance counselor and my parents do more to assist me in making sure that I didn't have to give up on my educational opportunities to attend the college of my dreams Spelman College, Atlanta, Georgia. I would keep on them to help me be on the right track to receiving scholarships, grants, etc., and do more research and keep bugging them to make sure all my finances for my full 4 years was available. In my freshman year I had to do a lot to find someone to be a cosignor for me, and I didnt find someone until the last minute, so I was able to attend Spelman College in Atlanta, Georga. I wasnt so successful for my second year, financially so I was unable to return to Spelman, and had to attend a local college. Since Spelman is the school I always wanted to attend, again I would do everything from my fresman year through high school to make sure I had all my finances in order.

I would advised

to the students: before you choose a school research everything about the school all the way down to who graduated from the school and what are they doing now. Dont just take people word about the school becuase t the end of the day the golden dollar talks. To the parents look at you income before you and your child decide what school to go to, becuase you dont want your child attending school that you cant afford.

I would say to students and parents that visits are very important, to stary early. College is a big decesion in life and it detemines how your life is going to turn out.

Be careful in the schools you choose and make sure you do your research.

Expect nothing and live frugally on surprise. Fulfilling the ultimate college experience , you to go against the grain. For every high school graduate, college is your highway to the future. Ultimately I would dare you to be different, step outside of your comfort zone and live life. That is where you gain that sense of fulfillment, thus challenging yourself. I would recommend you go to an institution out of state. That way you inherit a sense of responsibility, and independence which a lot of our youth tend to stare away from. Emancipate yourself from the parental guidance that you?ve had for 18 years and conquer it, find yourself. Make decisions on your own, choose wisely but, never forget why you came to school, even if you fail I guarantee that you will gain in the end. College in and of itself is much like a parent, it will show you what?s wrong from right and sometimes it will be quite demanding. Become a walking advertisement, and for those, who seem interested in your product then sell it! Network and always be accepting to something different. It goes by fast, so take pictures along the way!

For those students who do not like large colleges/universities then I suggest Saint Augustine's College.

My advice is to research your school make sure that they have your intended major and make a visit to make sure that the college has the enviorment that you would like to be in. I also suggest that your fafsa been done early, not on time, but early because some schools will try to get you. I also suggest upo getting excepted you start right away in financial aid and then with academic advising to assure you are in the right classes and will be on the right track. Also, apply apply apply for as many scholarships ahead of time to get as much money for school as you can! Just keep you head up and once your in school stive for the best.

When trying to find the right college I would strongly recommend a college visit. While visiting one should sit in on some of the classes being taught so one could expericence the learning environment of the college. I would also recommend forming a relationship with a school financial advisor. Forming a relationship with a financial advisor can make recieving aid simple.

Limitations is the worst enemy for success. I learnt how to never limit myself the hard way. when it was my time to finding that perfect school and experiencing the college life, I would be the first to say I will never regret any minute of it. Though I did not go to the university I dreamed of, I never gave up. I made sure where ever I went, I made the best out of it. I believe in whatever happens, happens for a reason. Just because something did not go your way does not mean you cannot make a way. In conclusion life is a journey so my advise is do not limit yourself to finding the right school, major, ect, because in this journey there is a promising fruitful destination.

Parents should be supportive in the colleges their child chooses and their reasons for choosing them. The student should be cautious on why they are picking the school and make sure the college fits their best interests. With the support of parents and faculty, the student should be able to have a good college experience.
