My tutors in the Integral Program. They have clearly shown that they genuinely care about the happiness and well-being of their students academically, socially, emotionally, etc. It comes through in their teaching style and practices, and the frequent one-on-one meetings they hold with their students definitely fosters this essential relationship. If it were not for my tutors in the Integral Program, I may not have come this far in my college career.
My favorite thing about Saint Mary’s College is the small campus community. I am able personally know all of my professors and meet with them during office hours whenever necessary. Being able to know my professors care about my success in college as much as I do motivates me to strive to well in school and not be afraid to ask question to ensure I am fully understanding a subject. Saint Mary’s offers the personal attention required for me to complete two degrees in four years, which is something I could not receive at many other schools.
It's location. I love Northern California. The surroundings are beautiful. San Francisco, one of the world's greatest cities, is less than an hour away. Saint Mary's has one of the most gorgeous campuses I have ever seen; full of trees and flowers. The California spirit is eminent on campus. The beauty I see everyday I go to school is inspiring and soothing.
What i brag about the most to my friends is that the people are are really outgoing and the professors here are willing to help students get a better grade in the class. They often tell students to go to certain workshops and even gives credit for on campus events that are related to the class.
i'm in the integral liberal arts program for major area of study. it's the best cirriculum and study-path there is. we study classics, logic, geometry -- it's a great books program.
To be frank and honest the amount of girls. I also brag about the education i am receiving, i feel that i am growing as a student and person.
To me, the greatest things about St. Mary's are my academic program (called Integral) and the location. My program is challenging, eye opening, and really gives me control over my education, not just in terms of organizing class schedules, but in terms of determining the focus of my classes. Student run discussion makes a world of difference in the level of interaction in an education. Location? 20 minutes from Berkeley, 40 minutes from San Francisco, and tucked into the hills of Northern California, where the 420 acre, largely undeveloped, spanish mission style campus is picturesque every day.
