Saint Mary's College is a women's college... so intelligent, enthusiastic, driven women would flourish at Saint Mary's. Saint Mary's is a very family/legacy orientated university and prides itself with the "sisterly bond" that often forms between the women at Saint Mary's. Saint Mary's College is a small campus with a myriad of extracurricular activities, clubs, and organizations; so someone who would like to get involved has plenty of opportunities to do so. Also Saint Mary's is a catholic college it has many opportunities to grow spiritually, and is accepting of all religions.
A hard-working, well-rounded, leadership-driven girl who takes great pride in education and her school. A person attending Saint Mary's College should be academically ambitious and interested in discovering intellectual experiences for personal and social growth, as well. A girl attending Saint Mary's is a happy, energetic, and focused individual. A girl of any race and any ethnicity is welcome and respected with kindness and consideration.
Saint Mary's is definitely not for people who don't drink but are still very social. The entire nightlife of SMC consists of drinking and going to Notre Dame dorm parties or off-campus parties. There is nothing to do for girls who don't drink, and there are no ways for girls who don't drink to meet each other. Someone who enjoys drinking and partying, and who is fine with not having any fun with extra activities during the week should come to Saint Mary's.
Saint Mary's College is a wonderful school. I think that anyone who is looking for teachers who get to know you, small class sizes and feeling like your part of a family should come here. Saint Mary's College makes you feel at home, everyone is welcoming and willing to help you out if you need anything. If you want to become more independent, self aware and get a great education then you should come to Saint Mary's College.
The kind of person that should attend this school is someone who is a hardworking student who likes to challenge their ability to learn diverse subjects as well as get a great understanding for their major. This is for someone who would feel comfortable in small class sizes as well as a close niche community.
You should have two X chromosomes, probably. Other than that, there's no one kind of Saint Mary's woman. You should be eager to learn and grow, with a passion for something, but you don't even have to know quite what that is yet.
It's an all girls school, so someone that can handle the drama of being around girls all the time. It helps to come from a background of money, because I constantly worry about making the tuition payments and the amount of loans I will have after graduation. However, it is a quiet school with a lot of character and you really are helped and encouraged to find yourself and your place in the SMC community.
A woman who has dreams and aspirations of a very successful life. A woman who wants to succeed. A woman who wants to be empowered. A woman who is strong willed. A woman who is very focused and well driven and strives to do well in everything and anything that she does or wants to do.
An upper middle class caucasion female who is from the midwest
Obviously a woman - you'll fit in better if you consider yourself a feminist. There are many different kinds of women who attend SMC, but I think students are happier if they're at least somewhat mainstream. The student body is pretty "white bread," so people who are particularly unique might feel uncomfortable.
St. Marys is an all girls catholic insitution. I would say that anyone that values their education and wants a small campus would feel welcome.
