The student body consists of white, middle to upper class students. They are usually from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois and Michigan, with a variety of students from across the globe. All from different backgrounds of course, such as from a single child or large family, rural areas or city life, catholic or not. Even though we are a catholic college, students are not discriminated for their religion, or their color, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status. There is not a lot of diversity, but administration is working on sending more students abroad and bringing more international students here. The college also has an organization that supports differences in sexual orientation, although it’s a matter of opinion if you accept it or not. Students are predominately democrat, range from conservative to liberal, and are not extraordinarily politically involved, but it does get pretty intense when a presidential election comes around. A lot of people come here to play sports, so athletes are a large percentage of the population. We also have the musically inclined, those in Greek life or social groups, and everyone else. Since SNC has roughly 2,000 students, we have lots of opportunities to mingle, in intramurals, clubs, organizations, and class. It’s not uncommon to see people you know on the way to class. And like everyone else, we do talk about the future and what we want to do, what kind of lifestyle we want. It’s really not until senior year that students really start thinking about it though. A lot of people wear jeans or sweats to class with some preferring to dress up more.

SNC has very small class sizes and that student body is very diverse in personalities, there is not that much ethnic diversity however.
