People go home. There are very rarely events over the weekend besides sports. Campus life says that they do not plan events on the weekends because not many students stay. Students say they do not stay because there are no events. It is a viscous cycle.
For those who live close by: most go home whether it is to work or just to do their laundry. for those who live farther away: go to a home game if there is one, homework, gym, going out, etc. It really depends on person, course load, etc.
