I like Salt Lake Community College. It’s a community college so the social and community aspects aren’t as high, but the facilities are really nice and the classes and professors are great. There’s limited food options, but there is still something available. The library is great, and there are plenty resources like the writing and reading center. There’s always someone there to give you support and help. I enjoy walking around campus, it’s really well-kept and a nice place to be.

Salt Lake Community College is an amazing college to get started on your college career with excellent education, and inexpensive tuition. On campus is not very lively like regular colleges, but what can you expect from a community college. The people here are usually focused on getting their degree, and generally very friendly people. All in all, I like this college.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Going back to talk to myself as a high school senior would be a bittersweet chance for me. There's no guarantee that I would even listen to myself. How hard headed I must have been to know I wouldn't even listen to myself. I imagine the high school me would be laying on the bed, ear phones in my ears, volume turned up to the max, homework sitting by my side untouched, and my phone right in my hand texting away. I would walk in and tell my highschool self to go to school! I would ask myself the question that I ask myself this very day, Why don't you go to class? What's wrong with your classes? Senior year is the most important year in high school and I know you don't want to go believe me I can feel how you feel. Just go, it saves us so much trouble at the end of year. And maybe you will actually be able to enjoy your summer instead of doing make up packets. College is so much better than high school, trust me, we LOVE it. So please just try, for us.

I wish I had begun the process to qualify for tuition wavers from the begining. I attended this school 10 years prior and had to drop out due to work conflicts. Now that I have started up again, those incomplete grades have caused my GPA to be lower and I am having to go through an extensive appeal process. I wish I had known how much those grades would effect my ability to pay for school.
