April

There is NO parking for students because it is in the middle of downtown. Don't take classes at night time if you are a female, there has been a few incidents that have either killed or harmed a female due to the lack of security. There are good teachers and they are understanding when it comes to attendance. There are plenty of ways to get to the college because there is a trolley stop across the street. Overall, what you see is what you get, after all, it IS a community college.

I adore San Diego City College. I do not understand why majority of students dislike San Diego City College. In my opinion, City College is the best of out of Miramar and Mesa college. City College is compacted but it benefits the students as you can quickly and easily get to your next class. Staff and student services are kind and willing to her you resolve your issues. The best part of San Diego City are the professors. The professors I have interacted are flexible with their office hours and genuinely want to help you master the material. Let me tell you about the location, it is beautiful! City college is within 10 minutes from the shore, Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo. How awesome is that!

San Diego City College is full of people who welcome you everywhere you go. Most of the staff are always welcoming, helpful, and willing to make the time for the students. I've been a student in San Diego City College for four years and I've always been treated with respect.

City has the best location being situation on the Southeast corning of Balboa Park adjacent to the East Village of downtown San Diego. Enjoy sweeping views of downtown's city construction is still underway.. This may or may not pose a problem for you unless you need a place to park. The transit system provides service from every corner of the county and a major transit stop is across the street from campus. I found the new look inspiring and felt encouraged to have chose San Diego City College for my educational needs. I could have gone to any of city colleges, San Diego City bes meets all my needs.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If i had the chance to go back in time i would definantly tell myself to try much harder! Get better grades so that you can get accepted to a four year university right away! I am currently in a community college and with all the budget cuts it is extremely hard to get the classes i need. And to be eligable to transfer to a four year university you have to take all the required classes that they have listed for you but since many of the classes got cut i find myself looking at other community colleges for the classes and it is very stressful trying to attend more then one college just to take one class. But i know that eventually all my hard work will pay off, i just really wish i would have took high school a little more serious.

  6. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

The commute is sometimes frustrating becasue I do not have a car. It is very upsetting when I have to take the bus and the trolley during the rush hours. It would be very helpful if I had a car because it could cut my commute time more than half and I would have more time to study and do other things that are important.

  7. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

What I consider the worst thing about my college is that there are many kids with special needs that are unable to do everything by themselves and they need help instead of more money going to those types of kids they waist in on unnecessary things. A lot of money goes to the health center and many of us don?t even use the health center. I meet one friend that was unable to see and because of the too many problems with getting around school he quit college and I believe that is unfair.
