San Francisco State University is known as a commuter school, the image of students at school have this tendency to look cold and unfriendly. The academic reputation at SFSU is not like UC Berkley or any other top ranked universities, so people automatically believe the education here at SFSU is cheap.

There isn't much stereotypes in SFSU compare to other university but people tend to feel Asian would do good in classes. Also, other people do feel SFSU isn't as good as other schools. For instance, accounting is one of the SFSU strongest program and yet alot of companies don't recognize our potential.

We're open minded liberal San Francisco types, often times associated with homosexuality, sex drugs and rock n' roll in general. We're all into protesting and being politically active. Then there are some people that think we're not as intelligent because we're at a state school. Then people believe it is a school full of commuters.
