Too many egos running around that have no where else to go except at students and staff.
Library is currently being remodeled, graduation ciriculum are rather strict without much room for elective study, off-campus housing is expensive.
I think the worse thing about SFSU is the parking. Students who choose to drive can not even get semester permits.
Nothing at all. My school is amazing. If i was forced to pick it would have to be the reconstruction of the libarary.
The on campus housing is absolutely horrendous. It absolutely does not reflect the city's mentality. They are far too strict, and they're greedy. They find petty reasons to expell you from housing(not the school), and cafeteria is absolutely horrible. The school itself is nice, smill, and extremely dense. There are many interesting people, but just living on campus will depress you.
The housing, tuition, and book costs are higher than the students would like them to be.
The worst thing about this school is trying to get the classes you want. At SFSU, it is difficult to get out in four years with your degree because it is not easy to get the classes you want, when you want them because there are thousands of students trying to get into that same class as well that usually on seats anywhere from 35 students to 300 students.
Most of the classes are waitlisted to get in and are so full people sit on the floor the first few weeks. It takes longer than 4 years to graduate because required classes are difficult to get into. The campus has limited and expensive parking as well has crowded bus routes that stop at it. I've been passed by a public bus many times because it is too full and the line for the shuttle to BART can reach up to 100 people.
It's extremely unorganized and never thinks about what is most convenient to students. It's more like our way or the highway.
