Overall, SJCC seems to be a reputable community college with a diverse student body and supportive resources for student success. Many great professors who teach to see students thrive! Truly a great school dedicating to helping college students succeed. San Jose city college will forever be my first home.
San Jose City College is a very accessible college. They definitely help with peoples schedules and their councillors make each semester clear with the education plan. They have good facilities available for a community college. The cosmo. department is absolutely beautiful. The buildings are all very new and many of the teachers try to make the courses easy for all students. Great place to begin!
SJCC is a great junior college. The staff and faculty are always ready to help the students. I'm sad to be leaving this semester. I had the privilege to be part of the EOP&S program and they were phenomenal! I had so much support there and my advisor was amazing! I would recommend this school to as many people as I can,
I just graduated in May 2018 I was surrounded by a lot of positive and supportive staff and teachers that gave me a lot of opportunities to shine. I was on the football team and education came first with the coaches. We played hard, studied hard and worked hard with it all paying off for me. I would recommend this school to anyone.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for San Jose City College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
Assuming that I could go back in time and talk to myself as a high school senior I would have much advice for the young me. First of all, I would tell myself to live with my parents as long as I could while working and going to school, to save money before throwing myself out in the "real world". I would tell myself to take a computer class, buisness managment class, and a speech class before all other classes. The computer class because I would need to know how to type very fast and to find information that I would need to classes as fast as I could as well. I would need the buisness managment class to help with my finances and managing time for work and school. The speech class would be used to help me feel more comfortable in the class and be able to make speeches comfortably. Most of all I would tell myself to take it easy. I would tell myself not to sweat the small stuff. I would tell myself to just do my best in school and all else with fall in place.
Anyone! It is a great school to attend. It is one of the newest remodeled city college in northern california! The facilities are great. The programs they offer for tutoring and library are awesome. Each day you experience something new, and there is always social events to help learning and studying a bit easier. :)
The best thing about my school is the life diversity amongst the diverse students that attend my school. It's the best thing because anyone can register at my school, regardles of age, ethnicity, and foremost, academic background. So you get a mix of people who have had interesting life experiences, who have droped out and are coming back, who couldn't attend school because of their situation, who had a baby, and it's just interesting conversing with people with different life backgrounds, and its crazy to think that school brings us together.
The worst thing about San Jose City College is how much the budget cuts are affecting the students. The teacher to student ratio is far too great. Education is the most important part of life, or at least being a contributing member of society, it should be dealt with much more care and taken with a great deal of seriousness. The schools should be getting much more money. Todays student are tomorrows leaders.
It is by the freeways and easily accessible. Cost of Tuition is very affordable and the tutors are great.
My school is a blend of minds in search for their passions and to develope their passions, my school is a mix of life unified by desk and classrooms, my school is people in pursuit of dreams.
My classmates are much younger than me and i feel as though they act as if people owe them something.
San Jose City College is best known for being one of the best community colleges in San Jose. It has many wonderful features. The campus is beautiful and it has a huge library. The Library is dedicated to Cesar E. Chavez , it has internet access, anElectronic Research Lab, and over 63,000 books.
I wish i would have looked into each class more to see what all of my options were. I just picked the first choice and did not widen my view. Being creative and taking classes that challenged me would have been more helpfull! At leaste know i know so that i will be able to decide better when it comes times for my next set of classes.
The counselors tend to suggest you take classes that you don't necessarily need for the degree you are working on.
