What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

College is time in a student?s life when they leave childhood and enter adulthood. With adulthood comes many life lessons and decisions they must face. It is important for the student to be excited about college and its infinite possibilities. If the student is not excited, he or she will not put adequate effort in the classes they are taking. Students should be able to attend the colleges they want and study the majors that truly interest them. Students must remember that college is a once in a lifetime opportunity and they must take it seriously. Although college is a time for socializing, it is more importantly a time to become educated and ultimately learn to be good law abiding citizens in the community.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Find a college that has the best academic record for the career direction in which you wish to pursue. Don't get stuck on the name or status of a college. Visit college campuses and find one that fits your needs.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

The administrative office. They can be really difficult to deal with. They consistently mess up paper work and make it extremely difficult to get what you need.

What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

What classes would/wouldn't transfer from the community college I attended. How competitive it would be to obtain an internship in Dietetics.

Live on campus only your freshman year! Don't live on campus after that. It's not worth the expensive prices. Plus, you dont have to worry about the RA's bugging you if your house gets to loud. Also, make sure the school has your major. Try to pick a major before you enter college. It makes it much easier to plan out your course work. Also, make sure you do all your paper work on time.

What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

The football games and tailgaiting. The school spirit. The teachers are from Sillicon Valley. The girls are getting hotter and hotter. There's 30,000 students enrolled.

What kind of person should attend this school?

Someone that is open to new experiences and new cultures. Someone that enjoys socializing and into school spirit!

Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.

My college is an ethnically neutral campus that promotes the diversity of our community and shows strong interest in our futures.

Describe the students at your school.

My classmates want to get the most out of college while still juggling work, friends, family, and everything else that makes life more complicated than it needs to be.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Finding the right college to go to is difficult. Many offer similar programs but it is important to pick a school that has many opportunities available. I wanted to go to school for a specific field but I figured out I did not enjoy it. It's important to remember that you can change majors and still stay on track, so I suggest choosing a school with lots of interesting options. Living on campus is also important because you truly get the "college experience" of meeting new people, being more active, and having the advantage of not commuting. Think less about how much it is going to cost you, and more about how much you will get out of going there.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Finding the right college starts with how comfortable you are with the colleges you are trying to pick. when i picked the college i wanted to go to, people were surprised. i didnt care. as long as i was happy with my choice, i was fine. making the most of your college experience is all up to you. no one is going to hold your hand and ask you if you want to do this or that. you have to make the initiative in making friends or staying behind. joining a club or greek is not as bad as it seems. some people will still talk to you if you dont join. most of the greeks on campus dont even care if you want to join them. they will still hang out and talk to you. be honest and chill.

What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

my fraternity and how close everything is to downtown.
