Santa Fe College is at the heart of Gainesville, FL. It is about 10 minutes away from the UF but is no where near the size of UF. The campus itself is the perfect size for first year college students or returning college students. You still get the sense of being at college without the overselling thought of your classes being a mile apart. The professors are amazing, always available , and always willing to work with their students inside class as well as outside class. The advisors are always willing to guide you and/or listen to how you feel your education should pan out. Also, there is an amazing support system for students through the guidance center. There is always a counselor available to talk to you and comfort you in a time of need. I never felt like a number, i felt like a mattered. That is why i will always LOVE Santa Fe College.

Santa Fe College is a smaller, community college that has a good amount to offer. The environment is nice and everyone does their own thing, minds their own business. There are tutoring sessions and math labs that are helpful. Overall, the college is very nice.

A good place to get started, but beware the apartments nearby. Try to get an in-depth tour before you decide on anything. Just because it's close to a school doesn't always mean it is the safest. As for the actual school, the classes are good, most professors seem like they actually care about your interests.

Santa Fe is a really nice school. Faculty, students and staff, try their best to get students to be involved within the school's activities or events. Their classroom sizes are a good amount, around 15-20 students. I found the professors to be very helpful, when it came to help and concerns. All around Santa Fe College is a good school.

Amazing! The campus is perfect and everything I hoped for. The class size is small which is perfect. All of my professors are easily accessible. Not to mention the campus is clean, well-kept. There are always plenty of activities happening on campus.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Santa Fe college is one of the most professional non-university colleges in the country. With a very large priority placed on academics with encouragement to engage in out of classroom activities to make friends and create a good study group foundation. There is also a high premium in laboratory experiments and hands on training.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

Santa Fe is an excellent school for those seeking a two-year degree; those who don't quite know what direction they want to go in; or those who are lacking certain prerequisites to get into other programs. The classes are affordable for residents, and there are so many options to choose from in any given course- various time slots, hybrid classes, and online courses make it a bit smoother to navigate the schedule of a busy adult. The advisement center is excellent, but I do think it would be helpful for them to advertise more of their programs. For example, there is a Gator Engineer program that guarantees you admission to University of Florida upon successful completion of all classes required at Santa Fe for the first two years. If admission is guaranteed, I'm sure more people would pursue this as an option instead of simply going for an Engineering degree at Santa Fe and hoping to get into UF. I've been at Santa Fe over 3 years and just found out about it. They offer a multitude of career programs that build options for you and help gear you towards continuing education, but you really have to seek them out. Other than that, the class sizes are decent, the teachers will help you do well if you show enthusiasm and the drive to do so, and there are many tutoring options and resources.

I like Santa Fe. The Associates of Arts is awesome to strive to achieve there. They don't have many Bachelors, so it's not a school you want to be at for 4 years. overall, its a good first college for 2 years max. They should add more activities to build up a student life and add more clubs that actually stand for something.

What is your overall opinion of this school?

I absolutely love Santa Fe College. Everyone on campus here, whether students, faculty, staff, or visitors are absolutely helpful and welcoming. When I first started at Santa Fe, I felt a little intimidated, but right on the first day I was welcomed. There are small classes so no individual is left behind. I would definitely recommend Santa Fe to anyone to continue on the path to their career.
