From what I have seen it looks like a good college the students are nice and there are multiple safety alarms around campus. I talked to current students and they all said the college was good and encouraged me to go to Santa Rosa JC. Overall the JC is a good college and I can't wait to go.

Santa Rosa Junior College is a beautiful campus with a lot of resources available for its students to achieve their academic goals. The teaching is environment is amazing for the class size tends to be relatively small or average. I like that Santa Rosa Junior College strives to maintain a low student to teacher ratio because it makes the learning experience so much easier and allows the students to ask questions and be active in lectures.

Zoe - 01/13/2021

Being an older, returning student, having lived overseas and traveled extensively, I can say with some degree of authority that Santa Rosa Junior College is one of the top notch schools in the world. All of the ancillary staff is extraordinary- there is a real caring for the student, and a strong will for our success. The professors are almost uniformly excellent, with the few who might be slightly less than fabulous merely lacking perhaps in social graces (I'm thinking of several STEM professors who might be on the neuro-diversity spectrum). The professors know their stuff, and they love to share their knowledge! The educational partnership I felt from my professors was hugely influential in my transferring with a very high GPA, which supports my continued success. I feel both lucky and privileged to have attended Santa Rosa Junior College.

They are strict but they care for the students, have so many resources within the school and outside, a lot of community involvement, support, amazing academic and community development and a lot of cool events encouraging students to join in and reach out to the community on many different opportunities

Santa Rosa Junior College FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at Santa Rosa Junior College?

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would love to go back in time to talk to myself and many of my other classmates, not only to tell them of times to come but to ask them, and myself to look at ourselves clearly. Times change much too fast for us not to know ourselves and consider our own minds before leaving to a place we are not familiar with. I would have told myself to let the chips fall where they may, instead of constantly stressing to stop them from falling at all, and maybe then enjoyed more and stressed less. But this is one fact that we all must learn from experience, so perhaps I would not go back at all.

  8. Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

First off the SRJC is one of the few colleges that offer online classes that I would be able to transfer the credits over to a four year university. They have a campus in my home town that has everything you can think of to help you learn. There website offers most of the same amenities that the campus offers. You can order books online and use the library. The online class system makes you feel like you are right in class.

  9. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

Students always are bombarded by useful tips to succeed in college, however the one tip I was never told was the importance of meeting at least one person in every class. Unexpected events come up in college, and the ability to call somebody from every class makes overcoming these events so much more simple. These acquaintances can help in so many aspects of college, from copying their notes from the previous class, to becoming homework partners, and having an alli is priceless.

At Santa Rosa Junior College we are very proud of our ties with UC Berkley. SRJC was founded as a sort of prep school for Berkley in the early nineteen hundreds. As you move from general ed classes to your major prep classes you will hear the instructors repeatedly say that they have designed the course after a course they personally taught at a University of California. Berkley is known as the Cal Bears and because of our ties we are known as the Bear Cubs. We are the little Berkley.
