I love Sauk! There is so much to do, and the professors are absolutely amazing. It has that small school feel; however, there is so many opportunities for students to get involved in. Some people downgrade community college, but there is so much to do, some Universities can't even match.
Salk Valley community college is a great little community college in our area. The staff and faculty are wonderful in helping the students. Sauk has a support a student support facility that's always willing and eager to help the students . I highly recommend Sauk Valley community college for anyone interested in a community college.
Sauk Valley Community College is a small college with many opportunities to become close with the professors and students. I was not expecting to go to this school and was dreading going. However, I have been very pleasantly surprised by what Sauk has had to offer. I am now a part of the Psych Club and enjoy learning in the classroom settings with my peers and professors.
Sauk is an overall great school with plenary of resources available from computer programs to free tutoring in the learning commons and helpful staff that are always reachable(unless it’s a weekend) over the phone, through email, and during their scheduled office hours.

Take classes that hard or that challenge you as an individual because that looks good for the colleges.
Someone who is looking for a great education that does not want to travel far away to school. Also someone who does not want to pay much at all for a quality education that can provide great opportunities down the road.
SVCC has an excellent facility that consists of one main building with all the classes seperated into different sections of the building based on their similarity.
For the most part the students are pretty standard small town people. We all have a kind of similar background so there is a certain sense of "togtherness" but people tend to stick with people from their hometown. However, there is a large variety of students despite the "small town" standard.
My school is best known for the great faculty because they care about our education. The students are not just a number we are real people that are trying to get a great education.
The amount of prerequisite courses for some programs, and how to properly apply for scholarships.
As with all schools, the competence of the staff varies. I have managed to run into professors who know their fields well, though, and they do their best to challenge their students.
I cannot fairly answer this question. I currently don't have time for groups or activities.
I have no problem with SVCC as an educational facility. It has a good library and quite a few resources at their disposal. It's a small school so get used to the faces you see but so far the administration has been better than the 4 year I attended. They seem genuinely interested in helping you succeed.
I love college because I can go to class then go home. I get to pick my classes and the times. I can go at 8 in the morning or I can go at night.
The stereotype for Sauk Valley Community College generally tends to be homegrown kids afraid to leave, and otherwise people who can't make it in a 4 year. For a few people in the school this is true, but for the most part I have came across intelligent students and a knowledgeable faculty.
It is too similar to high school. You have the clicks going on pretty back here. I feel that due to this there is alot of tension with other students and their fear to fit in. That should be the last thing on a person't mind when they are pursuing their career, what others think of them.
