The best thing about Savannah State University is the helping, supportive staff! Some one is always willing to help with any and everything. They are there for YOU! They are also there to help you make your learning and college experience an unforgettable one.

What I consider to be the best thing about Savannah State University would be the education provided.

The best thing about Savannah State is how increasingly diverse the school is becoming. Being that it's a Historical Black College/University.

The flexibility of class courses

The best thing about Savannah State is that they make it lenient for students of any background because they believe that everyone deserves the right to receive higher education. For instance, I didn't do so well in high school. I thought that I would spend the rest of my days working 9-5 shifts at a job that I was unhappy with. But Savannah State took me in with open arms; its amazing to see how much the faculty and students care and look out for one another.

The best thing about my school is that the teachers know their students by their name. The classes are small enough for people to know each other. It creates a family like atmosphere.

Savannah State is a HBCU so coming here you can learn a lot about the different things that goes on in your ethnic group. It is also placed in the city of Savannah which is one of the oldest cities in Georgia and also a city that had slavery in it. Attending this school you can learn a lot about slavery and history that took place in this city. SSU is also a very friendly school and accepts anyone with no discrimination.

The school spirit and campus involvement is the best things about my school because it allows all students to get to know one another and welcomes the new students helping them to feel comfortable about starting college as they get familiar with thier suroundings and the resources avaliable to them. This also allows the upper classman to encourage and enlighten the new students on staying focus on the main reason for being in college.

THE BEST THING ABOUT MY SCHOOL TO ME IS THE PROFESSORS THAT I HAVE COME IN CONTACT WITH DURING MY RESIDENCY AT SAVANNAH STATE UNIVERSITY. MANY OF MY PROFESSORS ARE WERE BORN IN OTHER COUNTRIES BUT THEY HAVE A WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE THAT THEY REALLY ENJOY SHARING WITH US AS STUDENTS. SINCE I'VE BEEN THERE I HAVE HAD A GREAT GEOLOGY TEACHER, ARABIC TEACHER, AS WELL AS POLITICAL SCIENCE TEACHER FROM OTHER ETHNIC GROUPS. BUT I HAVE ALSO HAD MANY TEACHERS BORN HERE IN SAVANNAH OR THE U.S . WHO ARE VERY WELL EDUCATED AND GREAT TEACHERS.

The kind staff & falcullty

The best thing about my University is the school spirit we have for our teams. Although we are not the best or even a high ranking school in some sports we always have a large crowd and support system for our teams. The Orange and Blue worn so proudly and the enthusiasm shown by the students definitely make me proud to be a Savannah State University TIGER!!
