College in my opinion, was pretty similar to what I expected. The only aspect that surprised me was that it's rare to find other students who are as sure about themselves and their identities as I am. I didn't think that students would have the same mentalities as highschool students; I expected students to be much more mature. I had also expected classes to be more challenging, but a lot of the material that I learned in highschool was repeated again in college.
The variety of people that attend. You'll experience things you never would in every day life. You'll see things that might change your opinions on what you thought you knew, or affirm that you were right to begin with. It's very welcoming, and everyone is diverse. Going to a school like SMFA helps people become more tolerant of differences, and more understanding. I think every school should be as diverse.
No foundation classes. You take whatever classes you want to.
I wish I had known how much I was going to grow creatively here, then I would have been even more excited!
Art Art Art. Lots of Studio Time. Tufts is a great place to get a degree from. Living is somewhat expensive, plus art supplies, but it pays off. Small Classes are good for more feedback from both teachers and other students. Very Diverse.
Anyone who is creative and wants to learn more about what it is like to be a living working artist. If you do not want to be held back by required and mandatory courses and are independent enough to find your own way, the Museum School is the school for you!
That my school is renound for its art classes and level of expertise. Also that I can take any art classes I want and do not need to do a foundation program. I tell them that this school is the perfect fit for me and is very personalized. This school allows me to do what I want and though it has requirements I still get to experiment and take different classes.
Uplifting expierance with amazing, helpful faculty.
At this school, students are so free to do whatever they want in class that there really isn't enough structure or instruction.
