This school school craft community college in Livonia Michigan is awesome great people and area. you do what you want and when you want you learn at your own pace and the advisors rock everything about this place is awesome even though it is a little pricy for community college

Emma

It's pretty great. Being a small community college, the lessons are much more one-on-one than with a big university. No lecture halls with 200-300 students; rather, classrooms with 20-30 students. Instead of just writing down notes a teacher dictates at you, you have the opportunity to participate in the class discussion. Small doesn't translate to easy, though - the classes are fairly challenging. However, that doesn't mean you'll struggle - there are a lot of resources on campus to help with schoolwork, including free tutoring at the library. Financially, there are a lot of scholarship opportunities, which helps with the finical burden, which is honestly pretty light already - the classes cost a lot less than a big university. About four hundred dollars a class (depends on the classes you take, though). In term of the professors, they range from The Realest to The Worst. Use RateMyProfessor before selecting a class. That's all I got. Happy learning, kids.

Great school and great teachers to help provide us with the best education.

School craft is a great school no matter who you are. There is always someone there to help you a long your way, or even if you just need a little help. I choose to go to Schoolcraft because after talking to a councilor about all the opportunities it could give me I knew it was the school for me.

Not to be so stressed out about taking AP classes and always wondering if I was doing enough to get into a college. It all works out in the end. Besides even when you take everything you need to some University's still won't let you in. So work hard to well but enjoy just being in High School.

  7. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

I consider the worst thing to be some of the teachers. I think some of the teachers are only ok at what they do. Some teachers are very young and they teach in a style that goes over our heads. On the other end, some teachers are old and they lose track of what they are talking about. Obviously, this is a generalization, some old teachers are really good at what thye do.

  9. What's unique about your campus?

The smaller classroom sizes definately influenced my decisions to attent Schoolcraft, it gives more attention to each student one-on-one, and that is what drew me to the school. While one-on-one attention was what brought me in the dedicated staff is what kept me in. There is not one teacher i was unhappy about, they were all so well put together and prepared which made it easier and better for me to put my all into every class. :)

A student that wishes to continue on to a University but needs to save $ in order to do so. It is also a good school for students that need to work and attend part-time or students that want a 2 year degree, but later will enter another field.

  12. Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

The community college atmosphere offers a unique perspective on learning through many different points of view. The students range from the age of 18 to 55, every race and religion. This allows for contrasting opinions that you wouldn't normally encounter at a major university. I learned more about the world, myself, and others through my experiences there than I did all throughout high school. I discovered new information through the curriculums, professors, and other students which helped shape my view on life and existence in general.

  13. What's the Greek scene like?

Outside of the alumni group for the school, there isn't one. Most likely, this is due to the fact that Schoolcraft is located in the middle of a cluster of strip malls and businesses rather than around residential lots where fraternities and sororities would be housed in typical "Greek scenes."

  14. Tell us about the food and dining options.

Spend $5-$10 on cafeteria food at Henry's or spend more than that at the culinary department in their "fancy" restaurant, American Harvest. If you've got the money, Henry's is a good option for lunch.

  15. Where is the best place to get work done on campus?

The best place to get work done on campus would be anywhere you could find peace and quiet. The library has limited seating and is usually packed, unless you manage to get there pretty early. I would advise avoiding the VistaTech Center and Lower Waterman Level where most people go to socialize and up making a lot of distracting noises.
