Schreiner University Top Questions

There isn't anything else that I would have like to have known because I love attending this college. It is my first semester here. I transferred and I have received nothing but good news and compliments at this college.

There is really not anything I wish I would have known before I came to Schreiner. When I first went on a tour of the campus everyone was very nice and told me of their experiences and opinions of the campus and Kerrville. So far what I was told is exactly how the school and city were described.

I wish that I had known ahead of time that when I gained entry into Schreiner University, that I would be gaining a family as well.

How much it really costs to attend.

Before I attended Schreiner University I wish I would of known that pre-cal was really hard. Other than that I was well informed about Schreiner University

I wish i would have known not to let my social life get the best of me. That it was going to be a lot tougher than high school, and i would have to study more.

I wish that I had known that the students already at Schreiner are so close, that, as a new student, it is hard to make friends with anybody except other new students. Instead of the upperclassman showing the new students around campus or town, you have to figure it all out alone.

I wish that i would have known that its not as scary as it seems. And that every day is like a new adventure.

I wish that I had known more of what I want to do when I graduate.

I wish I could have known about the economic recession that came about. My parents don't have a lot of work or money anymore just like everyone else. I probably would have went to a cheaper more financially manageable school simply because of the crisis for money and jobs right now.

There is not much that I can think of that I wish I had known. I have no regrets about picking this school. One thing I wish I had known before coming to Schreiner is that the boys are on the third floor of Faulkner. They are always extremely loud, and even though something is said to them they don't stop. Also this school is so small and I didn't realize how fast news would travel. Everyone knows everyone and who has relations with who.

There is no real need for a vehicle while living on campus. All cources are walking distances.

How little amount of time 14 hours really is. How to study better.

That Schreiner University does not offer music classes like a regular state school does, its less intensive than getting a degree at a school such as UTSA. For my degree it is ok though because I want to teach elementary school.

That it does not offer many clubs, and if you want anything out of the ordinary you must start it yourself. Also, that it is a suitcase campus, where most of the people are from around the area and during weekends not a lot of people stay.

I wish I would have known how much playing a sport would influence who my friends are. One thing I was concerned about was meeting new people, but once I got to be around the softball team I made friends quickly. I also would have liked to be a little more familier with the campus and maybe where to find things.

If I could go back in time to high school, I would most definately have taken AP courses to get ahead and knock out some hours for college. To had been given the opportunity for free schooling and to be able to get college credit is amazing. College is so expensive and every hour of credit really counts in order to be able to graduate in four years. If I had taken AP classes I would be classified as a sophomore in college saving me thousands of dollars and time.

I wish I had visted the campus before attending. when I got here, i was a bit taken aboack by the state of the campus and my dorm. as much as the school costs, i expected a better first impression.

I wish that I would have realized how important high school really is. I used to think that getting into a college would be easy. BOY how I was wrong. I never took my SATs and actually didn't even graduate from high school. I am now 28 and had to study so hard just to be able to pass the placement test for college which I barely passed. I wish I would have prepared for college my freshman year of high school with studies and prep tests.

Before I came to Schreiner University, I wish I would have known about the town of Kerrville. There is not much at all to do in the town during the weekend, so most of the students go home. It becomes extremely quiet, dull, and boring. This is Schreiner's biggest downfall, location.

I wish I would of had a better math and science experience in High School, but Schreiner has an excellent tutoring program so when it comes time to take those courses, im sure I will do fine. SU is good with helping students understand the subject if they are having trouble.

To be totally honest with you I already knew what i needed to know. When you go for orientation they really let you know pretty much everything you will need to get throgh your first year. It's really great!!

I wish I had known basic fist aid before I came to school here. There are a couple nurses and a doctor at the school but they are only there Monday-Friday during business hours. That just isn't when you get sick, and mom and dad aren't going to always be there for you either.

That'd it'd be harder than I originally thought.
