I love Seton Hill. They have so much to offer from athletics to academics and everything in between. The faculty and professors are always friendly.
It's a very unique, quiet, and small school, but, there are loads of groups to join, teams to be a part of, and opportunities to be had. If you're looking for a huge party school where there are parties every night and you'd easily be lost in a crowd....this is not your school. BUT, if you like a place where you can walk everywhere, know your teachers better, know your classmates better, and feel a part of a community, this is the school for you. It has a lot of character.
Overall I have fell in love with Seton Hill. At first it was not my favorite place and I went home a lot but I found to enjoy everyday at SHU. The people I am around always push me to be a better person and the proffesors always push me as well. The opportunites have allowed me to become a better and more diverse person.
Seton Hill University is a great school with an amazing and safe atmosphere. Not only are the classes great, but the housing and food is too! The University also has very intelligent and caring professors, so it makes me feel very at home. I am proud to be a Setonian and I will always be proud.

If I could go back in time and talk to myself as a High School senior, I would give myself the advice of applying for all the scholarships imaginable. I never realized how expensize college was, and if I could go back in time I would definitely applied for many more scholarships. I would also tell myself that I am now entering the real world, and I need to learn how to do things for myself. I would tell myself that being a college athlete is more difficult being a regular college student, because I must learn how to manage my time, due to all the practices and work outs plus study time. It is a difficult adjustment, but I will get into a regular routine. I would tell myself that I will appreciate my parents so much more once I am living on campus. A lot of high school seniors take their parents for granted, until they reach the real world. I will tell myself to stay positive in this long and difficult process, because nothing of value comes without hard work.
Everyone here is extremely friendly! It is a small school so everyone gets to know each other. Most call each other by name. It's a very awesome environment!
The kind of person that should attend Seton Hill, is someone who is dedicated and hardworking. Students must be eager to get an education, and they must be willing to broaden their horizon. People who attend like a warm and inviting enviornment; since Seton Hill is so small, everyone knows everyone each other, and everyone is friendly and helpful.
A person who loves city life or the idea of bigger state schools. Seton Hill is pretty small but it's perfect if that's what you're looking for. Also, people with any racial or social intolerance.

I think the worst thing is that since it is a smaller school, it's sort of like being in high school again. However, you aren't monitored like in high school, which makes it not too bad.
It's funny how in highschool I use to brag that my classes were easy and now in college, I'm bragging that my classes are challenging. I feel like I'm learning something at Seton Hill University because the teacher to student ratio is small enought that professors know my name and I don't feel like a number in a class, but an individual. I brag to my friends that this schools academics are amazing and I wouldn't change schools for anything.
The school is a mixed bag and offers something for everyone.
The best thing about Seton Hill is how much the professors care about you and want you to do well. If you are having any trouble in class they want you to ask for help and strive to do your best. I consider this the best thing because the number one reason you are in college is to do well in your classes and take as much from them as you possibly can and receive that education that will prepare you for the world.
What I wish I had known before I came to this school is the condition of the athletic department. For instance, I wish that I knew the track and field team had specialized and qualified coaches for all the different events. The other thing I wish I knew about were the lack of running facilities such as a running track. If I had known these two things before I came to this school, I think my decision to come here would be different. But all in all you have to make what you have work.
Seton Hill is best known for being a Catholic Institution and having a Holocaust Studies Program.
athletic and very smart
Many majors to pick from although some majors will only have maximum of two professors for your core curriculum, not liberal arts curriculum.
Seton Hill is a very small school while looking and achieving expansions on campus and into the downtown. Professors mostly get to know you by name and know details about you, which is very good to be close to them. Courses are easy or difficult depending on how good of a student you are.
