Since it is an HBCU, I can't say it's very diverse. The faculty is more diverse than the students. A majority of students tend to come from the South, and the Northeast. A student that's very quiet and to themselves( i.e., they don't drink or smoke) would feel somewhat out of place at the school. In regards to LGBT groups and religious groups on campus, I haven't seen much diversity. You will meet people of different sexual orientations but there isn't a specific club designed for it. The majority of students are Christian (as I've seen thus far).

My classmates here at Shaw University are very nice because when ever i need help with something they dont mind helping me, we work in groups alot ,so that helps be to better undertand the work,they make learning fun,when we work we think of examples in real life that can relate to the work that we are doing,we give each other breaks doing the work to think about what else can be done to solve difficult problems, and when we come across difficult problems we just laugh about them and solve the problems the best we can.

My classmates are very motivational, we all motivate each other to continue to push ourselves.

My classmates are very friendly. We all come from diffrent places and have many diffrent backrounds. We are are always helping one another and making sure that everyone is okay. We are all a big family.

My classmates stick together, because we someone is falling off we all take the time out to help oull eachother up, and give a helping hand.

Some of my classmates are very nice people who do there work, but you have those ones who are just here to be here and are distractive and they dont care about there education or yours.

Very friendly, very diverse but have many issues personally and some can find themselves very childish
