Shawnee State University Top Questions

Shawnee State is a smaller school, which means smaller class sizes and more one-on-one learning time with your professors. Tuition is also much cheaper there than at many other colleges. Housing is set up apartment style as compared to other colleges that mainly have single-room dorms. Freshman who live on campus are also permited to have cars, which many other colleges don't allow.

I love gooing to Shawnee because of the diversities in culture, the help you recieve from professors and the establishment in general, and the size of the campus is not to big and not to small.

One of the many things I love about Shawnee State is how personal the experince is. Everyone involved with the university, be it the professors or the students, is interested in my education. The class sizes are small, and the result is a very intimate and honest learning environment. Often times colleges are so large you may feel lost, that your voice will never be heard, or you won't recieve the specialized help you need, but that's not true of Shawnee. Professors want to get to know everyone, and students become very comfortable around each other.

The unique thing about my school is the fact that they have an open enrollement policy, which i agree with because everyone in my opinion deserves a chance at some form of higher education, as with myself my grades in highschool were not up to par

It's a large style university in small size. It offers all that a big town college or university would offer but in a small package. They are always changing to meet the needs of all the students that come to them. The staff are quick to step up and help and support their students. We are full of pride and a great place to grow academically.
