The school is one of the friendliest populated out of all of the colleges I have been to, or visited before. Everyone seems like a family rather than just a college campus full of students.
The school has a large dropout rate after the first year, and prices are jumping every year because they keep trying to imporve and add on more. Shepherdstown is amazing and beautiful and you will absolutely love it. There are parties but you need to know people to know about them. There has been some violence in recent years, it's getting worse, but it's nothing compared to the larger colleges.
