What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year at Sheridan College?

I wish I had known that college doesn't have to be scary and I don't have to be afraid of failing. I wasted a couple years being afraid that I wouldn't be able to do the work, but now I feel confident that I can get through the classes and be a great nurse.

I wish I would've known there wouldn't be a lot of diversity. Many of the people here are close minded and very conservative. There is no real variety

The need to develop a supportive network of campus mentors to assist in creating less stress over the incoming material is also an important component in any sucessful strategy.

I believe that college is all about experiance, and what you make of it! I Learning this information for yourself is what I beieve a very crutial part of College Education. There are thousands of stories and pieces of advice that former students can give you, however if you dont go out there and make your own story, you will just be going with the grain instead of against it! Therefore, its nice to recieve advice from others, and I could hand them out left and right, however, the best advice I recieved was to make my own!
