Perfect size and great community. Although it's dominated by rich white conservative men, we are trying to change the culture and setting. The Franciscan mindset of acceptance and service are great, and you can feel the community compared to the 7 other colleges I have visited before coming here. If you're worried about it being a catholic institution, that doesn't become a problem and many religions and views are encouraged.
My experience with Siena has been very positive and I have gotten a lot out of my time here. The community feel is the biggest thing Siena offers. This definitely feels more like a home than a school in terms of how the students, faculty and staff interact and coexist. You feel like an actual member of something bigger compared to just being a number in most case for other schools. Your professors genuinely want the best for their students and they are always available for you. Siena wants you to be involved and actively contributing to the campus which makes a huge difference in how you experience your 4 years here. My only wish is that there was some bigger departments that exist so that some of the minors they offer here could become programs that offer majors. That would definitely make a big impact on what kind of student body we have and a wider range of people could potentially apply looking to have the full Siena experience while also being put on a good career path for them individually.
I love Siena. I am involved on campus, I am happy that I picked this college for my 4yr Undergrad. Most of the professor are there for you, they want you to succeed which makes learning in and out of the classroom easier. Everyone on this campus does care for everyone whether that be advisors, dining hall workers or maintenance crew, they all care. Lastly, there is typically always something to do on campus which is an added benefit.
Siena College isn't lying when they say that they are offering the education of a lifetime. As a current junior, the opportunities that I have already been given are insane. Internships abroad, service trips, community service days, and the list goes on and on. There is always something for someone to do on campus, and it is always exciting to see what the next opportunity will be.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Siena College is 72%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
visit the college beforehand and talk to the students there
Community oriented institution rooted in Franciscan Values working to prepare students for he real world by offering tons of realworld experience and hiring experienced professors. The studnets know when to focus on academics but are also able to have fun and enjoy their time at college.

What the people are like on campus
Everyone fits in at Siena College. As long as you engage yourself in activities outside of class, you're sure to meet people that could become your lifetime friends. Siena College is full of school-spirit and people who love to give back to the Albany community. It is a great place for anyone who loves people.
Definitely the size of the school overall. It's a perfect transition school from high school to college. It's not one of those giant colleges where you feel like a guppy in an ocean of people. The class size is absolutely perfect in regards to maintaining a comfortable learning environment, and with so few people in your class section, it's much easier to communicate with your professors.
We are in the top 10 in New York State for passing the CPA exam.
sense of community established there. volunteer opportunities available to people. the school of business
If you're looking for a really politically active campus, Siena surely isn't the place. If you want to inspire some political debate and action though, its well suited to cultivation.
Although, as is true with most real-life situations, there are a few immature or mean-spirited students, but on the whole, overall I would say that I enjoyed most of the students I went to school with, and Siena fosters a friendly and inviting community.
Siena is unique because it's a school where everyone cares about each other, including the staff. Professors and students build great relationships, as well as the students with one another. Also, there is an amazing amount of school spirit felt throughout the community, despite our small size in comparison to other colleges and universities.
