I think it is a really great college. Its facilities are very nice even though the tuition is pretty cheap. I think this a good school for anyone who wants to not have to pay a ton of money for a college but also get a good education, I feel like this college would be perfect for me

Sierra College is a fair community college for students who are not looking for a huge campus that integrates a lot of student involvement. It's the kind of community college where it is easy to just be focused on classes and get a degree or certificate in pretty much anything.

Sierra College is a great school. They always have people there to help you in whatever department is needed. everyone is friendly. well laid out, never too far of a walk from your car to class. not a bunch of people roaming or on campus. all the professors are nice and willing to help if you ask

Marialana

I think the school is fantastic as far as academics. The teachers are very helpful and interested in making their students successful. However, because there is not much in the way of on campus housing, it is hard to meet people. Most people show up, go to class, then go home. No one wants to stay and socialize. The councilors are not very helpful either. They always try to get students to take less units than they should. I love the school but there are a few things that need to be fixed.

Sierra College FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at Sierra College?

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Sierra College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Going back to talk to my senior self now would be interesting, and an opportunity I would likely pass on because I wouldn't change any of those lessons that I learned, experiences I've had, or who I've become since then. But on the off chance that I did, I would smack myself upside the head and tell myself, "Pull it together! Take that class you should take, even though you don't want to and don't have to! It will open up more opportunities for you and make things go by easier and faster! And don't be discouraged if it feels like things haven't changed much, that it's the same old thing, and not at all like you were especting it to be. It takes some looking, but once you find it, you will see that everything is different there. And don't be afraid to take the opportunities to go out and have fun. Make new friends and keep in contact with them, it makes it all easier and worthwhile. And most of all, be prepared to study harder than ever before!"

  4. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

The most frustrating thing about my school is the process of adding classes. It is challenging because there are many students who want to be enrolled in a class without previously registering. It is hard on the teacher because he or she must choose who to add into the class over another. This results in students not being able to take the classes they prefer. The solution to this problem is to register online for classes before the final deadline, so that the preferred classes will still be available.

  9. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

I wish I would have known how valuable volunteer work is considered overall. Being a volunteer worker gives learners important and usually an unforgettable experience and establishes a well defined character to people that will be judging job hunters. If I had done more volunteer work I strongly believe that I would have easier access to my prospective career and people would believe me to have merit in my character. It is also just a wonderful way to oblige your civic duty. In my high school I mainly involved myself with academic work and focused less on bettering myself.

  10. Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

My school is unique because hundreds of people across the world want to come to be educated here, and I have access to it as though it were in my backyard. It offers a broad scope of education without being overtly expensive. The students and the professors here are kind, supportive, imaginative, and innovative. Students at Sierra College are often looking for a second chance and as a result, are very focussed, positive, and determined. They work hard for everything they have, which is not something I consider common to all schools. Students at Sierra College succeed.

  13. Describe your favorite campus traditions.

Sierra College is best known for its students and faculty members. My fellow classmates support my academic goals by tutoring, being a friend, and donating their time to help others. I am a smart young woman, but I do not always know the answer to a science question of the correct formula to use on a calculus question. However, with the help of my classmates I am able to get all the work done at ease. Teachers are more than instructors. They are mentors who help prepare us for the long and succesful road ahead.
