Simpson University is a great university that's also a small college. The environment at this college is a very christian welcoming school. The school is located in Redding, California that is surrounded by wildlife, and fun outdoor activities for the weekend.

Simpson University is an amazing school to study at. It is a fairly small school with class sizes not exceeding 50. The food is decent on most days and the coffee shop provides great service. What I enjoy most about Simpson is the community. There is an overwhelming sense of belonging among the students. It feels like home away from home.

When discussing Simpson with a group of current students, you may get a lot of mixed reviews. Some may tell you how much they love being a red hawk while others will just tell you to run away. The problem is, the school and the way you view it is heavily based on your outlook. If you have a positive attitude, you will find things you love. You will make connections and have tons of activities to join in on. You will also thrive in your classes, because honestly, they’re not that hard. But if you go into Simpson with a bad attitude then you’re setting yourself up for failure. This is a private Christian school, so obviously there are going to be rules and it’s not going to be a fun party school experience like you might expect. But you will meet amazing people and hear great stories. You will feel loved and cared for by staff and faculty and even have fun at their school functions. This school goes out of this way to make you feel like home, and they do a great job at doing it. However, just like many other campuses, there are issues. There are a couple things that students dislike (food options, financial aid, sports, etc.) Luckily, the staff at the college is always responsive and does it’s best to listen to students complaints and actually make a change about it. Simpson truly is a great school with a mission to serve God and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a small but loving Christian education.

Start looking at colleges early and stay on campus. If the right school is c hosen then the things you experience will last a life time. If a chance to do a summer or semester abroud is given to you take it. It is an amazing experience that you can share with other students on campus that you would have never ran into without it. For parents: let your children live on campus and visit campuses by themselves. You can be there but let them try to experience the school without you. Children will choose what makes you happy abd what you would want. This is not always what is best for them and could even resent you for the rest of their lives.
