I feel safe and it's close to home. It is a beautiful campus! The advisors at Snead are extremely helpful and the student ambassadors are really nice. The financial aid people are really helpful when it comes to paying our fees. During registration we get to meet a lot of new people from different schools and its just wonderful!

I love Snead State Community College because my teachers are always there to help me on my path to graduation. The cafeteria always has good food for the students. Although now there is reconstruction going, there used to be the student union building. There the students had a place to meet with friends and have important events hosted there. The faculty provides the students with many opportunities to succeed.

Miranda - 11/05/2018

I have loved my time at Snead State Community College. It is a great place for students to be able to start their college career, and is a good transition school between high school and college. The teachers have always been very friendly to me and help me to the best of their ability. I got involved at Snead by becoming a Snead State Ambassador, where I helped to lead campus tours and things of that nature. The facilities are also very nice, and I have always felt safe on this campus.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would tell myself to not worry about the petty things being said around me. Most high school seniors are only worried about popularity and their status among the others. I would have told myself to focus more on being a good person and not to worry about popularity. In the end no one is going to care who was the prom queen or the best athlete, but they will remember the way someone treated others. There is a lot more to life than high school, even though it may not seem like it at the time. Focus on being a good friend and a great student, and find true friends that will always be there no matter what.

  6. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

I would have to say that the absolute worst thing about Snead State is the limited parking areas. The amount of students and faculty increase each year, but the parking spots do not. The parking lots are an especially hectic area around the first of each semester. Every college has its faults and there is a lesson to be learned at each one. The lesson I have learned is that the early bird gets the worm, and the punctual college student gets the good parking spot.

  10. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

I attend a community college and it?s a great environment, but it?s very small. It can be very tricky scheduling your classes, because they can only offer them at certain times. Often time you have to wait until the following semester to take a certain class. That can be very frustrating when you end up taking all your tough classes all at once.
