Snead State is the second to none when it comes to community colleges, it has the best combination of amazing professors, academics and affordability. Overall it's the best school to go to straight out of high school, it is not too big of a campus and you are still around home for the most part. It prepares you for a larger transition in the following years.

It's mostly a very small commuter school with a heavier than usual on-line academic access. There's very little in the way of on-campus activities and only a tiny on-campus housing contingent. Courses easily transfer to the 4-year colleges. It's a good starting point for those who don't want jump into the full-blown college life of a big university campus lifestyle. Luckily, this area does have a larger than average arts emphasis with many notable successes. The two-year nursing RN program at Snead is considered one of the better and more extremely competitive programs in the area.

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Snead State Community College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would tell myself to not worry about the petty things being said around me. Most high school seniors are only worried about popularity and their status among the others. I would have told myself to focus more on being a good person and not to worry about popularity. In the end no one is going to care who was the prom queen or the best athlete, but they will remember the way someone treated others. There is a lot more to life than high school, even though it may not seem like it at the time. Focus on being a good friend and a great student, and find true friends that will always be there no matter what.

  6. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

I would have to say that the absolute worst thing about Snead State is the limited parking areas. The amount of students and faculty increase each year, but the parking spots do not. The parking lots are an especially hectic area around the first of each semester. Every college has its faults and there is a lesson to be learned at each one. The lesson I have learned is that the early bird gets the worm, and the punctual college student gets the good parking spot.

  10. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

I attend a community college and it?s a great environment, but it?s very small. It can be very tricky scheduling your classes, because they can only offer them at certain times. Often time you have to wait until the following semester to take a certain class. That can be very frustrating when you end up taking all your tough classes all at once.
