South Carolina State University Top Questions

I wish I would have known that South Carolina Sate University's Truth Hall Dormitory had a lot of pest problems. Also, the elevators break quite often and there are 14 flights of stairs. The fire alarm goes off in the middle of the night and you have three minutes to get downstairs.

I wish I had known more scholarship opportunities. I have had to pay for the last 4 semesters out of my pocket and I know that I make good enough grades to be intitled some Financial Aid, but the off campus program I am in is not developed enough to support this yet.

I wished I would have understood the importance of an MBA accreditation from a B-School. B-Schools hold accreditation through the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) which are highly regarded. The University of Phoenix obtains accreditation through the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Although both types of accreditations go through an approval process, the AACSB is one in which the quality standards are more rigorous. Typical AACSB schools use research to assess case studies, problem solving, and strategic planning to address practical everyday business scenarios. ACBSP schools are based on a teaching platform.

I wish I had known the importance of priorities. I learned very quickly that being able to determine what is more important when the time comes to make decisions. There are many times where you have to choose between social events and studying, or possibly even studying for one class over another. Many of these decisions have major affects on your academic career and cause you to build some bad habits. Priorities and success go hand in hand.

I wish I could've known how stressful the financial process would be.

Befoe coming to this school I wish that I have known that partying and being in sororities will get me where I needed to be in life. I wish that I just would have attending college and get what I needed to succeed in life. I attended this college and because I was young and didn't have my life well planned and put together, it took me longer then normal to complete my college degree. Not only did I let joining a sorority get in my way, but I also knew that it took me a while to learn.

Before I came to South Carlolina State University, I wish I had known how diverse and ethical the univerity was. When I first step foot on the campus I felt the spirit and vibe that it offered. South Carolina State University has a lot of advanced technolgy for students to use. The university offers a variety of majors and activities for students to engage in. Lastly, before I came to South Carolina State I wish I had known how serious the professors are about the students education.

i wish i did a campus visit , i wish i did more research on my majors at the school, i wish i learned more about the financial aid and more about out of state tuition.

Financial is difficult!

the money for the scholl is more then i can handle. i really stay in college and not be a loser. want to be a doctor but the way it is going it not going to happen.
