The students at my school are extremely quiet. You can hear a pin drop during regular hours. Noone stays behind to hang out or talk; the students are there to get an education. and go home or back to the dorms. Not many people attend classes in person, most attend classes on-line. There are events on campus to get some students to interact, but its mostly off-campus.
The academics at our school is available based on how many people are enrolled in a certain program. Students can take a course outside their major, but financial aid will not pay for it. We have amazing teachers that are highly educated, so the quality of our academics is 10 on a scale of 1 to 10.
To sum it up, the professors are very knowledgable about what they teach. At this technical school, you receive a university experience with academics. The financial aid department and business office is superb! Even though they are the most aggravated, they still speak and handle concerns with a smile! I can't say the same for the housing/campus safety or admissions. Try to seek them as less as you possibly can. Despite the negativity, I love this school and it is a great choice for those looking to obtain a degree to make a way for yourself and family.
I have not seen any couples walking around campus yet. This is a technical college where mainly adults with families and full-time jobs enroll, so there is very little social interaction outside the classroom.
I see nothing but countryside! Our school is located in the middle of nowhere. There are a few buildings that they have built to accompany us, but I still don't see much!
There is no stereotype for my school, because it is a technical college where mainly adults go to school so that they can enter into the workforce.
