I really enjoy the class sizes. The parking can be difficult because there is no on campus housing, but there is a bus that reaches both campuses. I enjoy the school, and I feel that it is a safe, positive environment for me to learn in. I give a smile and a thumbs up.
SPSCC is the community college closest to the city capital. It is kind of hidden so you have to look for it a bit. Parking is great as it is free and all over. Many of the instructors are easily accessible and can be contacted easily. SPSCC has some great advisors and there are lots of groups to join if you want to.
Great Community College experience! This school was everything a community college should be: exposure to as many subjects as possible to see which ones spark your interest for the future. I always found my professors to be incredibly knowledgeable and invested and passionate about their subjects. My overall experience boils down to, I'd attend this school again in a heart beat
I loved my first two years of college. The professors are fantastic. They are genuine, caring, professional and always available to help. The campus is fresh, clean, well maintained and has excellent resources for all your needs - counseling, academics, credits, etc. They have people to assist at all times for core subjects (math, English). I feel safe there and welcome.

If I could go back in time to when I was a high school senior, I think I would tell myself to relax a little. As a high school honor student, I was very stressed for going off to college, for a number of reasons. I thought the transition from small high school classes of students that rarely cared about the work and where constantly shooting glances at the clock waiting for the dismissal bell, to a fifty-student lecture hall where I would have to take constant notes on the professor's lectures to pass huge exams, would be a nightmare. I thought wandering around different buildings across an expanse of winding campus paths would also be a major stressor. However, once I got to community college, I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere of the entire campus was much more relaxed than I thought; in fact, much more relaxed than high school. So, if I was able to go back in time, I would tell myself these things. I would tell myself to keep an open mind; the students at college are much different than high school students. I would tell myself, that I would be fine.
Its so expensive. Every quarter I have to buy new books. It gernerally cost about $400.00 a quarter to buy the required books. You can sale them back to the school for pennies on the dollar or try to nagotiate with other students . Its a pretty big pain and when your in school every penny counts its amazing to buy a book for $185.00 wow really? do they need to be that expensive? It seems pretty outrageous to me.
South Puget Sound Community College is a welcoming place that provides students a enhanced place to gain knowledge for their future plans.
The best thing about the school that I attend is the fact that they have more than one program, and atleast one of the programs will have something of your interest. They provide everyone with any kind of problems, disabilities, etc, with the kind of attention they need. They will try there best to keep the students attending, satisfied.
Very interactive and entertaining. Helpful to the learning environment, for example friendly competitiveness and challenging.
When I tell friends about my college, there are a few things I brag about. First of all, the atmosphere of the college itself. It's very laid-back, and everyone there actually wants to be there, and is there to work for success, unlike high school. My peers are very professional and think more creatively than the adolescents in high school. Bouncing ideas off of them is very rewarding. In addition, my college offers really fascinating classes. I learn more than I ever did in high school, and about subjects I'm genuinely interested in.
My school is best know for there ability to help those that need help in certain fields of there lives.
How hard it was to raise a child and work full time and go to school. I wish I did go to school right after highschool, but you know life happens and life gave me a beautiful son that is everything to me. I do know now it is harder to go back to school and succeed rather than going to college right after highschool since the preperation and skills needed for college are fresh in my mind. Now I have to retrain myself to get back on track and succeed in my son's eyes as well as myself.
The most frustrating thing about my school would definitely be the parking availability. I have to arrive 30 minutes early everyday just to ensure I get a parking spot.
This school has the most to offer me in my area. They can be flexible with my lifestyle, I am a mother of two and I work full time. I can also tranfer to a four year University if I later decide, as well. The feel of the campuse and the classes is great. I feel accomplished and determined every day.
Anyone could attend this school if they have the desire to learn. South Puget Sound Community College has wide support network, not only amongst it's staff, but the students as well. The most important aspect of a persons personality should be that they are open-minded and willing to accept, but not necessarily agree with, people and opinions from all walks of life.
Nursing, dental, and welding.
If you are pursuing a certian career path, this may not be the best option. While this school has many classes to choose from, it lacks many higher levels in each subject because it is only a community college.
