I wish I would have taken the time to apply to university instead of community college. I do not feel challenged and engaged enough! That's why I'm looking forward to beginning at a 4 year school next year. Community college is a great stepping stone, but I'm looking for a more engaging environment to continue my education.
How hard it was to raise a child and work full time and go to school. I wish I did go to school right after highschool, but you know life happens and life gave me a beautiful son that is everything to me. I do know now it is harder to go back to school and succeed rather than going to college right after highschool since the preperation and skills needed for college are fresh in my mind. Now I have to retrain myself to get back on track and succeed in my son's eyes as well as myself.
I wish that I had known how much unlike a 4-year college it was going to be. A community college is an economic choice, but if you're looking for a college experience like everyone tells you about, it really isn't what you're looking for.
