I've heard some bad reviews due to cost and the changes south university is undergoing but personally I really enjoy the school. The cost of education is worth the education I'm obtaining. Thanks to my professors who are passionate about the Mental Health field, I have received nothing but good feedback out in the field. The Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program is amazing and I really as feel as though the program is set up to ensure we are ready for the real world. If I had a chance to do it again...I WOULD!

Valentine Mitsuka - 04/29/2017

this is a great school, especially for the nursing program. They provide good references to educate us in the nursing.

Michelle - 01/21/2017

My overall opinion of South University is pretty amazing actually. Even though most of the questions I had to answer didn't seem to have the best reviews, that's mainly because a lot of them did not apply to my school. South University is more for learning; not for parties, fraternities, on school campus. It's strictly for us to learn and feel safe. Professors are almost always there for us, and I say almost always because they have a busy schedule themselves. I have allowed them the 24 hour rule, if no response within 24 hours then retry to contact them. That situation is very rare though.

If you're right out of high school and looking for a social life to be a part of your college experience, then South University is not the place for you. On the flip side of the coin, if you're an adult student, or serious young adult, looking for the best education offered in the area, then enroll a.s.a.p.!! The focus on delivering the highest possible quality of education by every single staff member, offers the student that is there only to learn, every possible opportunity to achieve that goal.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would tell myself to work on study habbits. When you get to a college level education, everything lays on your shoulders solely. It is up to you to go to class, study, to extra work to help yourself further your future. In high school there are always people on your back to get things done, whether it is parents or teaachers. In college there is only you. This is your moeny and time you are investing for your future. High school is grooming you for college and the future you build for yourself. It has to be taken seriously. You can never start these practices to early. I look at it like a golf tournament. You cant win the tournament in the first round, but you can lose it. High school is that forst round. Build your skills up to make it down the home stretch. Old habits die hard, and if you develope good habbits you will be ahead of the game.

  9. Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

The unique quality of my school is how small the classes are and how persistent and consecutive the education is. The classes being so small allows the students and professors to have better interactions, and feasible answers to our questions. Also, we tend to stick with our classes in every course we take, so no change takes place amongst that unless someone was unable to pass a class.

  13. What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

When socializing with my friends about South University, I mostly brag or complain about the size of the library. The library is a small room and lacks an abundant selection of books and articles needed to write research papers. In my opinion, South University offers a quality education but does not provide enough resources for its students. The library provides like about 15 computers for students to use and most of the time they are occupied. Therefore, having to sit and wait for someone to finish is a waste time while rushing to finish an essay.
