Southern Adventist University is known for the "tamest party school" in Tennessee. We don't party like most of other college kids, we focus more on trying to have fun without involving drugs and alcohol, which is very strict to have on campus. Also, we are known to have one of the best educations throughout the Seventh-Day Adventist Universites.
This school is mostly known for the spiritual strength that students develop. Through convocations, fun spiritual interactions, worships, and Friday night Vespers, there is always some sort of community spiritual connections being developed.
Southern Adventist University is best known for its high quality Seventh-day Adventist education. The most emphasized programs are nursing and theology, but there are many quality programs. Several other prominent features about Southern worth noting are the diverse student population and the wide variety of outdoor sporting opportunities located near southern, including mountain biking, rock climbing, and world class kayaking to name but a few options.
My school is affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist church, and it is one of our more conservative schools. It is known for having a difficult but well-rounded science department, friendly atmosphere, high acceptance rates to LLUSM, and close proximity to both downtown city areas and camping/climbing/swimming. The location is unbeatable.
