Our mascot, the Muleriders. It's a good small college.
Southern Arkansas University is primarily known for two things: Argiculture and Business. The business school is rumored to be the most successful in the state, however I'm not interested enough to research this claim. Most of the land is used for agricultural education. Fortunately, the program encourages raising animals in a healthy and respectful way, unlike our distorted industry. The institution is also known for offering large amounts of scholarship awards while reducing them bi-anually (since I have been here) and it is all done legally by updating contracts yearly while withholding information about the changes in funding.
The SAU school is best known for their Agriculture Education department, of which I am a member. Most vocation agriculture teachers in Arkansas graduated from Southern Arkansas University. We are also known for having an awesome baseball team, and a terrible football team! We also have a very well-known nursing program.
My school is best known for Agriculture related fields.
It's business programs.
