It's an ok technical school. The academics are ok, I took it for dual enrollment and it was easy enough. The professors are easy to reach through email 4 days a week. some try their hardest to help and respond to others don't. If you go here make sure to use rate, my professor.

Before I attended Southern Crescent Tech in Griffin, GA, I was attending Georgia Military College in Fayetteville, GA. One of the things I really liked about SCTC is the semester long classes. The teaching material was not crammed into 8 weeks. Another thing I enjoyed was how spacious it is. There are sitting tables set up all over campus. Parking could be better, but so far I have enjoyed my professors. I have even made a friend who comes from the same background as me. Overall, I enjoy attending school at SCTC.

Southern Crescent Technical College FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at Southern Crescent Technical College?

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Southern Crescent Technical College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

First, I would tell myself to make sure that I do not sleep upon those important deadlines for financial aid, registering classes, buying textbooks, or other important tasks. If I do, then it will make my life a living hell to try and catch up. Secondly, I would tell myself to choose a college carefully. I need to understand that what I want versus what I need may not always mesh well together and to weigh my options realistically. Would that commute really be worth it? Will financial aid be able to handle these costs? Lastly, networking is very important. That does not mean that I have to be the most popular person in the world. Just connecting with other classmates or developing a student-teacher relationship with an instructor are perfect examples of everyday practical networking, which may be essential to furthering my career or gaining opportunities to expand my skills.

  5. What's unique about your campus?

The teachers in my school were the best. Anytime the students needed anything from them or went to them for extra help they were always willing to go the extra mile to get a solution. They were not afraid to push our limits either. When it came to learning that is their number one priority.

  6. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

The worst thing about my school is that there are not many opportunities to meet new people and be able to network. Everyone seems to just go through the motions of obtaining their degrees. There are not a lot of social aspects to the school. This could be a positive for some but for others, like me, this is a huge negative.
