What is the stereotype of students at your school?

Bora

The stereotype at SMU is preppy, and some girls dress up nice but majority just wear shorts and their sorority shirt for any kind of normal work out shirt of t-shirt. Guys usually wear Khaki pants and a button down shirt of a preppy shirt. Even though some students dress up preppy they mostly wear nice clothes when they go out and we all have our nice clothes when we got out to parties or dinner.

The stereotypical student at SMU is definitely a very spoiled, upperclass student who wears designer clothes and has a copy of their daddy's credit card. We aren't called "Southern Millionaires University" for nothing. Also, most people go Greek, and when they aren't wearing impeccably put together outfits, it's expensive jeans and a sorority t-shirt. Guys are similarly preppy and well-dressed with Sperry's being a staple for every guy here.

We're rich or smart. Everybody remembers the whole playboy deal at SMU, makes us look bad. Most of the time I say I go to SMU it'll be a "wow! thats awesome!" their response makes you feel proud to be a mustang, and then others outside of dallas are like " oh..." and then there's kinda like a blank stare because they don't know about it. Yeah thats because we have a horrible football history!
