The most frustrating thing about my school is the price. I have no earthly idea why just because SMU is a private university it has to cost a life insurance policy for you to attend. It is like the money goes straight to lining some licentiously rich, gluttonous person's pockets so they can go and waste it on delicacies and luxurious homes, cars, and other things that have nothing to do with supporting the future of todays generation of youth.
The impossibility of fitting in without having a large income or connections with someone that does. The pressure to drink because you can't find a party or social gathering where it isn't going on. The stupidity of some people who are there.
The Greek life is VERY competitive. If you want to go Greek then go into it with an OPEN MIND and don't set your mind on a particular Greek organization.
The lack of diversity.
The money that a lot of people have here.
The money situation. I don't have enough, and a lot of my fellow students don't understand what that's like, and are very careless with their treatment of money. Even the ones who complain about not having enough actually have very lavish poessisions and such.
