When finidng the right fit it is important to make sure that you feel comfortable and at home on your campus because that is where you will be living for the next 4 years of your life. If the campus has a comfortable setting then you are more likey to do well in school because you are not as tense and would be more comfortable getting the help you need. The location of a campus is also important because that will determine what your social life will be like...will you go out on the town on the weekends or will you hangout at dorm room parties? The feel and setting of a college campus are extreamly important factors when making a decission of where to go to school.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

PublicSafety & FinancialAid. Public safety doesnt get involved if there is a fight on campus. if you want a ride to your dorm when its dark out they wont help you (they claim they offer this service). if you report an accident or vandalism it takes them a long time to respond and give you the help you need. The financial aid office ONLY gives out money to kids and families who have little to no money...thats great, but people like me, whose family makes money but still cant pay for this school, dont qualify for any money at all.

What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?

How comfortable the setting is, how nice and experienced the teachers are. All of my teachers have been available 24/7 and always willing to help me. They are experienced in the field and are able to teach students more because of that.

What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

Student attitudes toward learning. Lack of interest diversity.

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

Lack of interest in academics among students. Kind of a boring campus.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

Some of the professors do not seems to care about teaching. There is not too many choices for people who want to eat oraganically or are vegetarians, and the staff is often not too helpful and often rude when dealing with students.

Describe the students at your school.

The majority are immature children who have enrolled solely because of social expectations to attend school.

Do not choose Southern New Hampshire University.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

The administration places an emphasis of profit rather than academia.

Parents and students that are trying to find the right college need to visit at least five different schools that are located in different areas. While visiting those schools students need to talk to current students and find out what current students like and dislike about their campus. I suggest taking notes about what you personally like about the campus and compare it with what current students opinions are. Also talk to professors in your major and maybe even sit in a class that is in session because class size and the way the class is run does matter! Once you have chosen a college to attend, you have to make the most of your experience. Talk to your roommate prior to getting to move in day, but keep in mind that your roommate does not have to be your best friend! Keep an open mind and give everyone a chance to become your friend, you can never have too many while in college! Also, remember to always keep focused on your school work, you are in college to have fun but the main reason is to get an education!

What kind of person should not attend this school?

A person that is not out going would have a difficult time making friends at this school. Students are very friendly and will approach other students in their classes even if they do not know them. Also students that are constantly studying and need a quiet campus would have a difficult time studying on this campus because people are constantly hanging around outside making noise.
