Describe your favorite campus traditions.

Our school is most known for being a small, close-knit community. Everyone on campus has seen or talked to the majority of other students and that way you dont get lost in the crowd. Also, we have a wide range of ethnicities that go here.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

My advice to any college-bound student would be to step out of your comfort zone. Lots of times a student will research a college or university that is ten minutes from their house, or one that their best friend is attending, just so that they have some familiarity during the college experience. However, I would strongly encourage students to take a risk and explore places they never would have normally. Personally, I chose the aforementioned path of going to a school close to home along with all of my friends, but looking back now I truly wish I would have looked into other schools. Secondly, once students get to school I would recommend that they join at least one club, group, or team that way they are immediately broadening their group of friends and acquaintances. By being in a group with someone, you automatically share a common bond and interest and that sets you apart from anyone else. As for parents, I would tell them to let go. Although it is hard at first, a students college experience will reach its fullest potential by making decisions on their own, even if they are not the right ones.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

I think that the worst thing about SNHU is that some of the professors here are not well-educated in their field and tend to give everyone an A no matter how much effort is put into an assignment. For students who really work hard, this can get aggravating.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Make sure the parent and student takes an unguided tour of the campus, and also see what goes on in the classrooms that pertain to the student's academic major. Also, make sure to know how the campus acts on weekends and if the student and parent is comfortable with it. Lastly, make sure parents take into consideration about the best interests of the student, which is ultimately getting a good job after graduation. High school seniors really dont think about the big picture when looking for colleges, which is where a lot of people make mistakes.

Go where you know you will be comfortable. Do what your heart tells you to do. Its always right and then you will never second guess yourself.

What's unique about your campus?

The classroom sizes and the enviroment where the school is located. I love being able to know everyone in my class and having the professor know my first and last name. The enviroment is beautiful. The school is surrounded by mountains and lakes and goes through all four seasons.

Make sure you feel comfotable at the school when you are touring. Stay over a night to see if you enjoy the people (they are different in class than at night). Make sure they have your major and classes that you think you will enjoy taking.

Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

After attending Colorado State University I learned to really enjoy the class size, and the relationship that you can create with the professors on campus.

Visit the school, and talk to people who are already students, get the truth not just what the tour guides tell you.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Some things you need to think about when looking at what college you want to go to is how big of a college you want to attend, also whether you want to be in the city or more in the country. How far away do you really want to be away from you parents, but rememeber when you don't get to see your parents everyday you miss they a whole lot more, so keep that in mind. When you find the right school make sure you try to get involved in EVRYTHING, thats the best way to make friends! Another thing to keep in mind is not to do everything your friends do or don't do. Do what you want to do even if none of your friends would ever do it or you will regret it in the long run!

What's unique about your campus?

The best thing at SNHU is the class sizes. There is a perfect amount of students in one class so that the students can get as much help as possible

Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!

It is friendly, small enough to see your friends around , and focuses on academics, yet leaves you with time to party.
