What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?

The town of Ashland is considered slightly more liberal than most Oregon towns, and, therefore, the university shares the same reputation. As for stereotypes, I haven't run into any. The student body at SOU doesn't reinforce social cliques, and stereotypes are kept at a minimum really.

When people see our school and where it's located they think of the Shakespeare Festival, hippies, and parties. Our school isn't just about theatre and partying, there is a great one-on-one interaction between professors and students in all departments, and a lot of success in the science department.
