After being a student at Spring Arbor for three years, I believe that a student who doesn't want to discover themselves and have people tell them how to operate shouldn't consider attending.

Spring Arbor University is home to a variety of cultures and religious beliefs. I cannot think of any type of person that would not enjoy the atmosphere my school has to offer. It is also small enough where the professors know you by name and they actually teach you the material.

I think everyone should attend this school. It is the perfect community for people to be closer to God and closer to their friends/classmates. There are some religious requirements that non-religious people may dislike, but it's an amazing place to connect with other people. I feel like the education that you are paying for is really worth it as well. I know college is expensive but the education that you get out of the four years here will be well worth the money you pay for it. I feel like this is a good place for everyone.

Spring Arbor University is Christian University commited to creating community. Christian or not, anyone who comes here will feel an inviting and caring atmosphere. Potential students who are not looking to grow in dynamic ways outside of themselves, and students who are not interested in improving their relational and spiritual lives as well as their vocational lives should not attend this school. Anyone uninterested in a genuine, honest and accountable community of people who strive to use their lives to better themselves and those around them should not even consider Spring Arbor University.

A person who likes to party, drink, and sleep around. This is a very conservative school that does not allow or tolerate anything that they don't see to be morally fit.

A person should not attend this school if they do not believe in God, or are not affiliated with a specific religion. It would be very hard for someone to attend this school if they consider themself an athiest. The school will place the gospel message in your hands and essentially try to convert you. Most people do not like this type of reaction to their personal beliefs.

You should only attend this school if you are looking for something more out of your religion. You do not have to be a devout christian but you should either be looking for that kind of an experience or simply be looking for a change in your life. Also, those wanting to attend here should be loking for a small town, small school atmosphere. Unless you are looking for these things, you this would not be the school for you.

Anyone I believe can come to this school. People who probably wouldn’t want to come are people who are into drinking, because it is not allowed. It does not matter if the person is poor or rich, they can come to SAU.

Someone who is not a follower of Jesus Christ would probably feel very out of place here. We have chapel twice a week and many of the classroom discussions are based on Christianity. There is no drinking, smoking, cohabitating on campus either.

If you want a big school with a lot of people, SAU isn't for you. If you don't want your relationship with God to grow, SAU isn't the place for you. If you don't want to meet some great people, SAU isn't the right place for you. If you want a small school with an awesome sense of community, a closer relationship with God, and to meet some of the greatest people you'll ever meet, SAU is most definitely the right place for you.

Students looking for a good, quality christian education. It is a smaller college, and more expensive, but it is worth it. The professors want you to suceed and will do every possible thing to help you.

An Atheist or anyone who has a problem with any denomination. Someone who swears, drinks, smokes, parties, etc, should not attend. None of these things are allowed and a person who does these things would not enjoy it here.

The greatest issue that I see are the few people who we aren't reaching. I have started to notice the few quiet people out there, who aren't exactly on the same page as everybody else. I myself am naturally introverted and its a constant struggle for me. What I?m saying is that I understand how these people feel. I wish they could have more friends and that people would go out of their way to include them in things. I feel inferior because I can see this and yet I too am afraid to talk to them.

If you do not like to follow rules SAU is not for you. SAU implements a particular lifestyle that might not be fitting for those without strong moral values.

Spring Arbor University is a diverse learning environment; age, gender, ethnicity, or however one would define themselves, is not a barrier at SAU. Spring Arbor University is a Christian college. It is place where your faith in God is applied to your studies while you are taught how to apply your faith to your profession. Prayer and scripture is incorporated in intense academia.

Spring Arbor University is an excellent small private school. The only people that should not come here are people with closed hearts. This school is not just a place where you get a college degree. It builds community among its members, encourages good moral behavior, and builds a lifestlye around Jesus Christ. Anyone who is looking for a place to just fall through the cracks and remain nameless should just attend a large university like Michigan or Michigan State. If you want to know everyone in your school and make lasting, real relationships come to Spring Arbor.

The only type of person that should not attend this school would be those pursuing a Nursing degree or someone who likes living in the big city. We are located 15 miles outside of the nearest city.

The kind of person that shouldn't attend Spring Arbor University is somebody who doesn't desire to know Jesus Christ as their Lord. The school focuses on Jesus Christ as the main foundational point of learning and there are many opportunities to grow in your faith and it's a little intimidating if you don't want to know Jesus the Messiah as your Lord.

A person shouldn't attend this school if they are unable to follow the strict rules that are enforced to help students build their relationships with God and others. Chapel is to be attended and students need to refrain from sexual interactions on campus; if students aren't okay with that then they should not attend. Anyone of any religion can attend this school, but it shouldn't be a problem that they have to attend a Free Methodist chapel twice a week.

A person who is close-minded and not willing to improve themselves as a person. There are no real restrictions as to what kind of person may attend this school, but I would recommend that those planning to attend, also plan to grow not only intellectually but as a person as well.

People that shouldn't attend SAU are people who are looking for a "party school" where there will be drugs and drinking as well as participating in sexual intercourse, because these things are not acceptable for SAU.

The kind of person that shouldn't attend this school would be someone who is looking for a school that is focused on one career path and only studying classes in that career path to obtain their degree. SAU is a liberal arts school so to finish any degree it will take at least four years. If you are looking for a quick degree or a college to get away from your parents, SAU is much deeper and more academically focused.
