The liberal arts education allows students to become well-rounded learners who actively participate in the community, on and off campus. The best thing about St. Olaf is really there since of community. There is always a place for someone.

The best thing about St. Olaf College are the resources available for students. Yes, the campus is very beautiful and the food is tasty but, as a student at such a well-known school, the expectation is really high. St. Olaf is filled with encouraging and generous faculty members and students who can help out on academic needs such as: Writing for ELL learners, tutoring for all subjects and even government funded programs such as TRIO. I am in TRIO and with out it, I would not have gain felt as comfortable as I am now with St. Olaf College.

There is the Malt-O-Meal cereal factory in Northfield, so in the morning it almost always smells like cookies. Top that Harvard.

Regents Hall of Mathematics and Natural Sciences is awe inspiring. It is thrilling to study in such new, advanced space, and it keeps me driven to do my very best work in math and science. Like many colleges, St. Olaf says that is committed to math and science study, but it is the only campus that I know of that has dedicated as much money and resources into the classrooms. It is one of the main reasons that I chose St. Olaf; I entered the building, and I was hooked.

St. Olaf gives one the best liberal arts education you could ask for. The study abroad programs and excellent and provide students with an incredible array of opportunities to travel the world. Also, our college's food, when compared to all other colleges in the US, is at least in the top 5. The people are friendly and the opportunities are great.

Madeline

The people and the facilities. The alumni network still amazes me with all the connections to EVERYTHING.

I love the location--don't come if you're looking for a city school. There are lots of trails, parks and places to ride your bike or run. I also love that there is always something going on. The school feels very safe and people are really nice/trusting. Professors are very approachable and willing to help students connect with jobs and other mentors. Academics are really important, but they don't take all of your time and if you try, you can balance everything you want to do in your daily life.

Jessica

The people are nice and fun.

St. Olaf has a long tradition of excellance. It is a private college so we have samller class sizes and professors that live near campus and are easy to get in touch with.

Katherine

The best thing about St. Olaf is that the students, professors, and administration feel a responsibility to make the world a better place. This is evidenced through the pervasive drive to do well academically, participate in extra-curricular activities, and form meaningful relationships. People here seek to lead lives of worth, lives that are fulfilling both on a personal and global scale.
