St Petersburg College is an affordable and inclusive community college. Where for studying for an associates and bachelors degree, it is half the cost compared to other colleges and universities. My campus is close to my home, it is smaller, yet more outdoors, which makes me feel safer when walking to classes. Free textbooks are provided by a program I’ve joined called,“Women on the Way”. Which is dedicated to helping students, both female and male, to obtain free class materials and clothing. Online classes and online tutoring is available by appointment 6 days a week, including at night. The college has included a zoom room which is available for 4 hours and 3 days a week. Which benefits me as I struggle in mathematics. Overall there is always someone to help guide and direct me to the most cost effective path when receiving my education.

This college fosters a safe environment to grow intellectually and personally regardless of your background. There are multitudes of resources and those who care about the students to ensure that each person has a chance to become the best version of themselves now and after graduation.

I have been going there for 4.5 years. My opinion would be that it is a very good school for people who are just wanting to take classes online or a college that has small classes. It is suitable for all types of students. Even when I work 40 hours a week, full time, i can still make it to my in-class sessions because they are accommodating.

Katie - 07/15/2020

It is a basic community college for a cheap price, good if you want to transfer to a big name Florida University while saving some money. Don't recommend it if you want to transfer out of state, a lot of their classes don't transfer. Small classes but teachers aren't very involved, I found it okay for my first year or two but I will definitely be transferring to get my Bachelors.

I began my education experience at Santa Fe College in August of 2007. I only wish I would have known that the financial aid office was such a dreadful experience. Thus, I would have applied for more scholarships to make the loan process easier. However, I now have to stuggle to get by in college to make something more of myself by repetitively accpeting and reaccepting loans to make it. I now know that it is vital to take advantage of every opportunity that comes to you for it may give you a chance to succeed in any carrer.
