It is a very good college I would definitely recommend it to people that is looking for smaller classes. The classes are small and the teachers are able to help more students, because of the sizes of the classes. The library is also very good looking considering I haven't been in it yet, because I probably won't come out because I love to read books so it will be a while before I ever think about going to the library.
I personally love my school. If you are looking for a small campus size with women who want to help build you up every day, this is the place for you. The campus is pretty liberal and there is a huge call to activism, our professors are always easy to get ahold of, the dorms are relatively large, AND we are pet friendly. The town surrounding Stephens is such a great area to live in as well. We are neighbored by two other colleges, so there really is always something going on. Stephens is small, but if you feel like you're missing out on a program/class or event, our school has partnerships with the others so nothing can stand in your way.
An incredibly important and empowering school, that will change you for the better!
Imagine being at a summer camp for a whole 10 months with your best friends. That’s what Stephens College is like. It's a small, all women's college in which the most passionate women attend. The dorms are ancient and get hot most of the time (just like camp, right?), but is seriously the best place to be. The tight knit community allows the campus to have high levels of support which instills success in the students. The professors give loads of creative support and constantly push the students’ initial ideas so that the end product turns out better than anyone thought it could. Therefore, the student environment is intense because everyone shares the same passions and have a certain craving for knowledge. It's quite inspiring and easy to make close friends. There are plenty of activities and clubs to participate in on campus that aren't the most organized, but are fun nonetheless. The only downside of the college is that one must live on campus to maintain scholarships given by the school, and the food is pretty mediocre (sounding like camp yet?). Overall, Stephens College is a great school that inspires creativity and makes one never want to leave.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Stephens College is 61%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.
In high school I didn't do my best. I didn't think it was important and would slack off on my work. I got below average grades and am lucky I even got into college. If I could go back in time, I would let myself know that those grades do matter. That if I would've gotten better grades in high school, I could have gotten more scholarships for college. If I knew that I would love college so much I would've had myself apply for more scholarships so I could stay in school.
I wish I had known to stop sweating the small things in life. My first year at Stephens I worried about people liking me and getting invited to parties at the near by university. I was unmotivated my first semester, since I was so worried about pleasing other people. I later realized that I should never worry about what other people think about me and if they do, they are not worth my time.
An institution creating career ready women of distinction.
Stephens is a very open community. The girls (and the few guys) here are all welcoming and accepting to the freshmen. If you need help, people will give you help, or tell you who you need to talk to. The faculty and staff here really do strive to offer you with the best education and living situaion available. I love my school, which is a big deal since I didn't even like high school all that much. If I wasn't at Stephens I probably would have dropped out by now. Stephens helps me be my best.
The tution is the worst thing about Stephens. It cost 30,000 a year to go here. Thats a lot of money compared to other schools. I hate taking out loans but thats what I have to do because they don't give me enough aid money and they don't tell you were to find scholarships to help you.
I brag about how much fun I'm having in the classroom as well as outside. All the teachers are fun and will help every student to succeed as long as the teacher is aware of the student needing help. The school provides plenty of fun activities on campus that are specially made for college students. Like movie night on wednesdays, religious club meetings, and (when its finals week) a spa day.
My classmates are creative ,intelligent, and inovative family members.
Personally, I believe anyone would be a good candidate to attend Stephens College. We are so diverse as a student body and we all thrive to do our best, no matter what field we are currently in.
The community based atmosphere is a really amazing aspect of the Stephens College experience. The Stephens woman reputation is one that has been upheld for the last 175 years, and all of the students take pride in the college, knowing that the interactive education we are receiving is one that will give us the knowledge to succeed for the rest of our lives.
The most frustrating thing about school is you have to live on campus for the whole 4 years that you live there. I don't believe that this situation lets us learn how to live out in the real world and find out what paying rent and finding a place to live feels like.
Fashion design and theatre.
I wish I knew i was coming to such a friendly environment. The women at Stephens make you feel at home and are like a second family. I orignally only wanted to stay at Stephens for a year but after my first semester here, I realize that I want to graduate a Stephens woman.

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
