Stephen's College is an all women?s college and there is so much talent, innovative thinking and determination to succeed among all the students. The teachers are passionate about the students and use real world experiences to apply their teaching. Stephen's also offers many opportunities to get involved in the community and in world wide charitable organizations. These opportunities allow the student's to step out of their comfort zone and contribute to the overall good of the world. Stephen's College is a spring board for the future of its students.


We have a wide rang of artistic personalities and cultures. With the campus being smaller than the average university we can become closer to the people around us. It becomes one big family instead of finding your way around a campus in a mass of unfamiliar faces.


Stephens College is unique because it focuses on women?s education. It was created in 1883 and is the second oldest women's college in the country; also it's the only women's college in the state of Missouri. As for being a student of Stephens, I feel that I take ownership and pride in a college that is rich with history. The college offers a wide range of majors, which brings a mixture of different backgrounds together. I am following in the footsteps of many other strong women, but at the same time I am defining my future.


The community based atmosphere is a really amazing aspect of the Stephens College experience. The Stephens woman reputation is one that has been upheld for the last 175 years, and all of the students take pride in the college, knowing that the interactive education we are receiving is one that will give us the knowledge to succeed for the rest of our lives.


It's very small, and you know almost everyone or at least recognize their face as going to Stephens. Your professors care if you come to class, they have your best interests at heart. They are available outside of class, some even give out their home phone numbers. We aren't just a college we are a family.
