My opinion on my school is that it's not something I want to be apart of anymore. As far as academics go I am doing exceptional. Academics have never been a problem for me, but as far as a social aspect I'm experiencing social isolation. There's not enough campus events to have people getting out of their rooms and enjoying college. People are constantly smoking and drinking, which I am not into. I have tried to make friends, but they'll talk to me in the moment and forget about me later. They friendships have never been 50/50. I confide more in my professors than the people here. I am always by myself and things should have changed, but they haven't. There's no football team, so we don't even get to have homecoming around the regular time, we have to have it in February which I've never heard of before. People have shown their true colors to me and I don't like it. I find myself always in my room talking to my friends at home and my family. I want to go home everyday. I am transferring in the spring to go somewhere else closer to home. This school lacks a lot of things. I talked with the provost of our school and he knows that there are problems, but haven't worked towards to fix it. How do you expect people to stay if you don't fix the problems. I have heard many people saying they're going to transfer to another school as well. Even some of the staff have left and are planning to leave. Overall, it's not a good school only for the people who have lived around the Tuscaloosa area or Atlanta. Housing wasn't an issue because everyone got a room, but the condition of the room was nasty. There's marks on the ceiling everything was dirty, the ceiling was crumbling. I wouldn't want my children to stay in a room like that ever. Campus food is repetitive and nasty. We aren't allowed to take anything out of the cafe, all of our food must be eaten in there. Well, what about those days where you don't feel like eating in the cafe and want to eat in your room. Extracurricular activities are limited and they don't have enough things to get people involved on campus. We have a small gym, that only athletes are allowed to use. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone to be honest, they have a lot of things they need to work on.

When I visited I felt at home, and very welcome.

Stillman is a tight-knit community filled with support and love. The cafeteria food and on-campus housing have room for many improvements. There is no co-ed housing, and only a few people eat in the cafeteria everyday. Classes are small and personal, the professors are always available for their students. The work load is light compared to other colleges, but the material learned is beyond comparison. Stillman College, like any other college, could use some improvement. However, overall, I love my school.

Stilllman is a great college. The location is great and has multiple options of stores and restaurants in walking distance. There are a lot of fun activities you can get involved in on campus. The band is amazing and very welcoming. Also homecoming is very exciting on campus.
