My advice to myself as a high school senior would be to find a subject matter that truly interest you and focus on obtaing an internships for that field. Internships are really helpful, in regards to obtaining a position in your field while attending college. College provides students with the foundation of specific information but interning allows for you to get the hands on experience that alot of businesses need for the organization. Another suggestion that i would offer is try to obtain a scholarshp to assist with college tuition. The grants that you receive from the government is free money so it is important to use this wisely. Taking out loans can be very expensive and puts alot of students in debt. Taking the time out to apply for scholarships can be very rewarding if you dedicate yourself to finding specific ones where your overall situation matches the necessary criteira. Lastly, I would recommend to really analyze and determine if college life is for you. Everyone is not meant to go to college and that's ok. It's better to know in advance if this is something truly for you before you spend the money to attend.
